Ovation guitars are my favorite. I love how they feel. I have an acoustic Steel string and a classical nylon. I've been taking classical guitar lessons for 2 years now.

Hi Beatrix, Thank you for putting me in this video. I'm so proud! My favourite guitar would still be that Manuel Rodriguez with the amazing color pattern made of old Brazilian wood.

I love this video so much for the audio quality. My favourite guitar? Obviously the Rodriguez guitar you use in the beginning. But besides this obvious dream like guitar, I find it interesting, that the marketing of guitars seems to be similar to fancy books in the bookshop. They try to manipulate the consumer to buy the cool looks like fancy covers or sprayed edges. But those, who actually want to read a book only care for paper quality and readability. The same seems to be true for the guitars prestented in your video. Eye candy tuning pegs, bridges and rosettes. Nothing wrong with that. Life is short. My personal highlight are the ovation guitars. Did not know, that guitars could be built that way and still have an amazing tone colour. Learned something new today, so thank you very much! Until today, I always thought the world of acoustic guitars consisted of 2 options: a) yamaha (or something similar) with a new set of nylon strings for immaculate pristine sound - or - b) some ancient small body guitar with illegal exotic wood and nickel bronze strings. For those of us who feel blue :D

Really enjoyed your video tour of this summit! Would have loved to hear that sound of the amazing looking coffee box wood Rodriguez. Some very fancy looking guitars but for all the science it’s still hard to replace the magic of aged woods and traditional construction.

I’ve played it. That guitar is a work of art.

That hemp fiber Canna guitar you played was really interesting, Beatrix, and it was definitely unique and you sounded good playing it. That Emerald Harp Guitar looked cool too, and Emerald of Ireland is known for making high quality carbon fiber instruments, and I know a guy (Frank Piscopo) who has one of their acoustic-electric guitars and it's really nice. My wife Suzanne Paxton has a Timberline Harp Guitar that is acoustic-electric, and the Timberline has 6 sub-bass strings on it and is made of Indonesian Mahogany instead of carbon fiber, and it's a nice instrument that I find difficult to play so I just play 6-string dreadnought guitars instead (mostly I prefer the back and sides be rosewood, but I also like mahogany too).

Thank you for the amazing tour! I have a Manuel Rodriguez I purchased with my first pay check back in 1994. Still sounds amazing. But that Cafe Cortado guitar is beautiful. How was it when you played it? Computer speakers don't make it justice, I suppose.

Thanks for the video! it would be nice to get the names of the guitar makers you visited so we can check them out online. I just placed an order for your record, can't wait to get it!! I love your channel!!

Hey thanks for your order, I just saw it! Well I think you should find some links to the guitar makes in the description of the video, but I also wrote some names on the video if I remember correctly. Hope this helps!

@@beatrixguitar Thank you, I totally missed the names on the description, sorry. Thank you for replying, I love the way you play! You put a lot of emotion in your playing and I really love that, that is why I ordered your record. Keep up the great content.

@beatrixguitar I've got the Santos Rosewood. I know he also has the eucaliptus, but I liked the first one better. I understand that the back and sides are laminated, did you feel like it affected the tone or resonance?

You’ve got a practice stream live video you must have done yesterday. And I tried to play the video and it said I have to be a member. So I take it, subscriber and member are 2 different things?

Yes, members are paid supporters of the channel, subscription is free and it’s like following the channel

Which is your string height above the fingerboard of the instrument?
@sixstringhans-tone5574Ай бұрын
I never like the rounded backs of the Ovations because it’s way to easy for the guitar to slip down in your lap. The front body designs are cooling lookin. But it’s just uncomfortable when I sit down and play one of those guitars. ✌🏼

I was expecting more classical guitar type instruments, especially factories or luthiers that are innovative and improve the traditional concept of the instrument. Maybe it wasn't the right event for that.
