The positive aspect was at least I was making decisions. Currently I’m retired and just about every decision that counts has already been made. I try to find the positive side of life. Today I decided to watch your video and feel better because it reminded me of a better time in my life. Thanks again for improving my life with your experience’s. I agree, There is no reason to apologize. You are showing how the job actually is. It's not a walk in the park. I am not a logger and I really have no idea about it. Yes I have been in the woods and cut a lot of firewood, but I have a question. What if when that choker wouldn't reach take your little axe or hatchet and cut away some of the extra back to get that extra length you needed? Again I am just asking, not telling you how to do the job, I am not a logger.😅

Believe it might have gone better with a deeper face cut. If the stem doesn't tip in the right direction you are off to a bad start. Missjudging the true lean is easy to do on heavy top trees like oak. When the tip starts to bind like it was on the last part of your back cut, it was telling you she was headed in the wrong direction, toward the water. No matter how good we are things don't always go right. Just like landing an airplane, if you walk away, that can be good enough. You didn't get hurt, so you have another chance to do better. Your a winner in my book. Nick, North West Farmer (Oregon)
