The ‘where can I sleep, eat, poop’ was too real…gave me flashbacks of my own homelessness. Of course if I really had a whole house, even when it was empty, I’d sleep on the floor and pee/poop in a bucket (have done, lol). I’ll tell you what, in real life the gym is a score. My cheap’o gym membership was how I stayed clean, for sure. Of course there’s Sims world stuff that make the whole situation easier, but the searching for a place to sleep and get clean at (a public sink IS a win in a clutch, just gotta actually wash up at it). Watching this sim build up from sleeping on benches was kinda cathartic.

I remember sleeping in my car at a rest stop in the dead of winter, covered in so many blankets.... but never being warm. The leg cramps....the waking up having to use the bathroom and being hungry! The feeling so awkward n uncomfortable that others could see me😮 im grateful to be passed that now. i trust in God and he never disappoints. 😊 🙏

You can always keep your dishes/trash in your inventory to fill the dumpster back up whenever they get empty. Also using the dumpster for wahoo fills it and flings trash all over so you can fill it again after it’s empty 😂

You can't cheat to get the item, it's only usable if you build it yourself on the fabrication station. (I've tried) I'm not sure you actually need the career, just a high fabrication skill? Could be wrong about that part tho.

I always edit these lots while on them to add showers and stuff to help while dumpster diving. Also Flea markets are Sunday after the Romance Festival and in the neighborhoods with the dumpsters, there are more dumpsters dotted around so you can always stay in the area and keep looking if you do this challenge again.

I always edit desert bloom by adding a pool and showers and a blank area to pitch tents my sims carry in their inventory (plus cooler or campfire) My sims start out rough!

Two things to add: If you make your sim a Spellcaster and rank them up you can repair the broken objects without spending money and there's a spell called Burgliate that will allow you to steal ANYTHING including fridges and stoves. Also, if you're dumpster diving, you can put the dyes back into the dumpster to be able to dive again.

Well, if she ever has roommates she’s definitely prepared for them to sleep and have a place to sit! And with all the seating, she’s definitely prepared to throw parties! She’s just missing one key household item, but no one can say you didn’t try to find it! I was thinking it’d be like last time and you’d find it right close to the end, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. I agree, I like the mishmash look of furnishing a home this way! It kind of reminds me of my own first apartment and many of my friends’ first houses. Though we were gifted items from friends and family (as well as handed down items from family) rather than having to dumpster dive for them and so that’s why our stuff was mishmash.

I love these type of videos. I would like to see you do this again, but including a mod called diverse deals. It allows more items to be found in the dumpsters. You can also get a mod called flem market refresh, it adds items from other packs.

A tip for dumpster diving in the sims is occasionally trash will end up on the ground which you can use to refill the dumpster. And if you run out of piles, then woo hooing in a dumpster will make about 5 more piles. It saves ypu from having to reload lot after lot trying to find a full dumpster

Lol considering you lived in the street while furnishing your home, you should have stayed at a gym lot, outside of going back and forth to Evergreen Harbor. There's showers and toilets for your hygiene and bladder needs, grills and a food stall for your hunger needs, TV in the gym for your fun needs and multiple sims for social. The best gym would be Oasis Springs gym lot, that area has a lot of dig sites and I beleive two frog pumps and a log. The food stall is right in front of the gym area along with a small park area for grilling, and theres a bench to sleep on too. PS: Flea Market is every second Sunday from the first Sunday after you've completed a full week ingame.

Doi g this with gnomes active means they repair the broken electricals for you! You can furnish quite well with Eco Lifestyle fabricator, Woodworking and dumpster diving. Wander to the flea market and grab free posters in the city, and snowglobes in the boxes yiu can rummage in too.

So much trash around the dumpsters. Very frustrating. When the dumpsters are empty, add one of those trash piles and dive for deals again. You can get 1-3 dives per trash pile.

I don't own eco lifestyle so I really enjoyed this. There are many career rewards like kitchen stuff in the culinary career,a bed in the arts career, desks and chairs and computers in others but they all take so long to earn (too long if you have nothibg!). Getting married gets you some kitchen stuff too plus dressers from birthdays. I like crafting furniture on the woodwork bench.

For not being able to take the pizza, you need to make the front porch/deck area after the steps larger. Sims for some reason can't move to a larger area to have the interaction once a service sim is up the steps. So you need that space in front of the door to be large enough to accomodate them or catch the pizza person before they get up the steps. Its silly.

Pick up the trash next to the dumpster and put it back into the dumpster, you can dive for more "deals". If you want more trash to put back into the dumpster, "dive for meal" and you can get spoiled food to dump back into the dumpster for more "deals" to dive for and create a never-ending cycle of diving for deals or meals lol.

You can also buy some items at university and travel destinations. Outdoor living has a portable shower, tent, heater, etc. You can also craft a toilet but i dony think there's a public woodcraft table?

When I go dumpster diving I always put a full fence around my sim and the dumpster, that way no other sims can get in and bother us. Then when it’s time to go I just delete a panel of fencing and my sim goes home.

I added a mod by LittleMsSam to my game to expand craftable furniture. The mod is called More Woodworks. I use it for my living off the land challenges with no build and buy. It has added a lot to my game and I love it! You can even craft the outdoor retreat shower and sink. Plus a ton of base game items, pretty much anything you would need (except a fridge, which I try to dive for).

I tried to furnish a home with just stealing stuff. Its not possible to steal anything needs related (like a toilet or stove), besides couches in which you can nap. You can get a good collection of chairs , lamps and decorations though. I even stole a llama statue and a juice fizzer. P.S.: I think you can craft a toilet in the forest holiday area at a workbench if your skill is high enough
