I have a spawn vhs that I want to get graded. it's sealed but has a dollar general price sticker on it. Can it still be graded high with sticker on it or remove it. If remove how? Thank you for your help

Is it an original sticker? Some collectors like those on there. You can try to remove it with a heat gun/hair dryer, but risk melting and damaging the shrink. Grading companies will remove stickers for a charge, but also you have to sign saying that you understand it could damage or there be unseen damage underneath. (The adhesive can eat away at the plastic)

I just started looking at thrift stores for dvds and blurays. I already had a small collection, but trying to add to it. I haven't had any streaming services for a while. Even when I had them there wasn't much I wanted to watch.

Be careful with the auction houses. The really top tier tapes go high, but I have seen a lot of other items go for the cost of grading or less.

Beautiful pieces. Those fern gully stickers are so distracting though. I wonder if for future submissions if they offer a service to remove things like that professionally. Just a thought. Nicely done though!

Yeah they can remove stickers I believe. Some don’t like them, some do as it is more “as it was”

You need to consider fees from Goldin Auctions -- really any established auction house. Keep in mind that they usually charge 15% on the sell side and then another 15% from the buy side (buyers premium). So, if you think eBay fees are high then wait till you see what auction houses charge.

@@MountainManTreasure No news at all, I was about to send some cassettes in and was surprised too! I gather the competition i.e. CGC, AMG, REWIND, BECKETT etc was too much. I did like their horizontal cases for some music cassette titles.....oh well.

I don't think this will go worth anything extraordinary anytime soon though. There is no point, you will not enjoy selling it yourself in your lifetime for hundreds of thousands. No point on selling it for $1500 i would keep it at list 5 to 10 years then sell it.
