I did that same type of modification on my S -waiver and changed the hooks out to be a bit lighter and it perfectly suspends about 6 inches under water .. it’s fantastic over top of weed beds . Good video !

Seeing you catch those little ones on the big bait really gives me confidence in fishing my bigger glides/swimbaits more. I have a good few now, just need to commit. I did this mod to my islide 135s and had good results. Even a few cheapo amazon lures really have good action after the file. Good video

I’ve done that to a few baits one being the Flow Glider and that thing is freakin awesome now! Just did it to a GanCraft 178 and it came alive!

I totally need to try this! My I-Slide was extremely difficult to figure out. When I first threw one I thought it was defective. I soon realized that fishing it like a giant jerkbait (kinda like what you said about Oliver Ngy) has resulted in some of the most hard hitting bites I’ve ever experienced in fishing. I personally will keep one stock, but modify my next one!

Yes, I agree there is not a bait in the game that does what this bait will do stock out of the package with those 4 foot cuts. And the bites are unbelievable like that! But I definitely feel like this modification makes the bait a more practical and fishable bait

I've been cutting the joints on all my glide baits since I seen Ben do it on his channel. It truly will turn a trash bait into something worth fishing. Seems like the twitch action works better for me up in northeast Tennessee.

Looks sweet! We have been doing this to our glides for years. My buddy would file down his S-Wavers and showed me how. I have been doing it with my cheaper glides but so nervous to cut and file some of my expensive glidebaits. Thanks for sharing dude!

Right on bro...good on ya! I really like an I slide 185, I keep about 20 of em in the boat and use em like a huge jerkbait, but your right it's harder to get the 262 to move through the water like the 185's for me. I have a few 262's but haven't had as good of luck with them. You can bet I'll be trimmin one down on the band saw though! I have done this on a few S wavers but haven't cut the $100 bill baits yet.

That's cool I'm glad I showed this vod, I Bens vid where he shows trimming down a 6th sense bait like that, I had already done it to my I-slide 135 but I haven't had chance to fish or even see how it swims yet. I've done ok with 135 factory but I haven't done as well with it as I would like so day I saw him triming that glide I pulled my dremel out & did it right away. See how it fish tomorrow. When we going b able to get the brown trout kkk-klash 9's bro??? I'm wanting one pretty dang bad!

I had trouble with it too at first, it 100% needs a snap or split ring to get the 4 foot cuts. I normally cast it over points, sunken islands or flats, it really needs space to do its thing. That being said I've had much more success using it for musky and pike.
