When the wave starts there is a bell button which recalls all of your worker and builder bees. Use it to protect them. I believe not activating this button is the reason they keep dying. Cheers

Honey storage is located after the decorations in the first era (which is kinda silly since a lot of people skip over them thinking there's nothing helpful after). I think that is what kinda screwed you over since you didn't have enough honey to keep up with the production of worker bees.

Fun fact Bee actually clump up their enemy and vibrate to generate heat and carbon dioxide, which suffocate and kills their enemy without stinging them

Lol. Weapons on the outside, important building and storage in the middle. Next time try to centralize your structures and keep the defense to the outer edges. It should let you stop a bunch of the bad bugs from getting to the middle. Lol. I think.

Gotta balance it tho, cause anything that DOES get through would be relatively untouched. Imo, best would be high rate of fire on outside edge to deal with swarms, and heavy damage distributed through middle to take out the big guys that get through.

Tip: try to get a whole bunch of builder bee and worker bee as well fighting bee it will be so much faster
