Please excuse my ignorance, dont know anything about how chickens behave ... how did you know it was/is dying? Is it easy to see which is healthy and which is sick?

This one has what is called a "slipped tendon" it could move very well and get to food and would have suffered if it had continued to live. That's how I know it was "dying"
