The abrupt "We don't really have friends" cracked me up. I really didn't ever consider this but now that I think about it, most of the time when I have friends over, half of us end up slinking around the floor anyway. Sometimes we kind of huddle around the coffee table if we're playing board games but since they are so low set, it's easier just to sit on the floor next to them. And growing up in an incredibly hot climate, we'd all end up on the ground to cool off. Huh. I'm starting to unlock quite a lot of memories of sitting around the floor in the living room and even napping/sleeping on it. Also, it's just fun watching you move around your space!

If you are keeping the items and they have tags that say Do Not Remove This Tag, then you should remove the tags. If they have washing instructions, consider keeping the instructions in a safe place or scanning them. I am minimal. I lived without a sofa for eight months and then bought a really nice one but gave away my less-comfortable living room chair so I could stay minimal. If you have ever lived in a country home with ants, cockroaches, scorpions or other impossible-to-eradicate pests, you will want to get up off the floor! I hate tags! Always cut them off, even in my clothes. I have one couch and that is only because the living room is in the middle of my apartment so there would be nothing to lean on, no wall. You’d have to just sit up the whole time. I have no dining room table or chairs. I have a floor desk and sleep on a tatami mat and futon. One weird thing I did down size that is unique is my washing machine. My regular size washer broke after just 1 year and repair was going to cost more than a new washer. So I decided since that was washer number 2 in 3 years I would get the smaller more portable version. If washers are now built to break, like everything else, then I will buy a cheaper one. I get a 0.7cu ft portable black and decker. It still plugs into my washer line using just the cold water, but I can move it myself. It only weighs 50 pounds. It also works great! I don’t have a lot of clothes to wash at once and I’m small so I love it. As for a dryer, haven’t had one of those in 2 years. I just hang stuff up! LOVE the rings btw!

I don’t actually own any furniture because I rent an apartment with furniture included (when I lived in my home country Uruguay I had furniture but not so much). However, this apartment I’m living in, here in Ireland came with much more pieces and I asked my landlord to take some away, so I just have the basics. TV……I haven’t had a TV for 11+ years. I don’t need it and I refuse to have one. Same for a laptop, I don’t have one and I don’t need one. For my personal use I just have my smartphone and my iPad. I have a desktop pc at home but is provided by my company so I can work from home. But I don’t count it because it’s not actually mine. For example if I quit my job I’ll have to return it 😂😂

Thanks for sharing Andrea!! That's funny that you had to tell the landlord to come take some stuff away!

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but every time i try to, my mom always criticizes. she's not very mobile, but she also doesn't visit very often hahaha

awwwww sorry to hear that, yeah it's tricky b/c there's a balance between doing what you want to do and then also making accommodations for those around you ❤

Tip, NEVER have people over. Meet in a park or coffee shop or something. then you will never even feel the urge to have some furniture thing in your life for them.

Hi Natasha, love your videos! Have you considered blurring your kids faces in the videos you post? There are many stories of people who save images of other peoples kids to repost or use maliciously later, and also the amount of images you need to make deepfakes of someone else is declining all the time. Blurring or covering their faces/not show them is a really good way to protect your kids without detracting from your videos i think :)

I appreciate your concern and will def take it into consideration!

Totally cut off the tags - they are only there due to legal requirements to state content, etc.
