I think fashion back then was SO less pressured to look good. It was just dumb and fun and you could use 10 random items out of your closet and throw them ontop of each other. I miss it. Also let's bring back butterfly clips and hair crumps.

As awful as the trends were, one good thing about the early 2000's was that young girls were allowed to look like young girls. They weren't growing up so fast or feeling pressured into looking like sexy 20 year old "Insta baddies" with perfect tans, skin, and winged liner like girls are nowadays.

here's the thing tho, i have such love for the early 2000s because of how messy it was. there was so much experimentation, there were all sorts of bizarre trends, and literally everyone was doing it! nowadays, there's this scary obsession with perfection and polish, so whenever someone is caught looking less than both of those things they get dragged to hell and back. i don't know mykie! i can see why you hate it lmao but maybe we need a little early millennium back in our lives... just to keep us humble, y'know?

you're missing the body glitter, but out of a roll on thing that probably smelled like "strawberries". you're missing the clear sparkly elastics that were hell to get out of hair. also the denim skirt over jeans was the worst thing to ever happen. i love the early 2000s and 90s, mainly because I dabbled more in the rock section of that store, and only saw some pop.

The entire Dollz dress up game archive 😭 Tee shirts with "Angel" written in bubble letters across the chest, tight pants with words across the butt, ED HARDY EVERYTHING, chunky wedges/platforms, Belly Button Rings (!!!), plaid punk/schoolgirl riffs, $400 jeans with holes, patches, rhinestones, and embroidery, knee high boots, etc. The years suddenly started with a 2 and we were all very confused. 😅 But watch: in 5 years these early 2000s styles will have a comeback just like the 90s. I remember hating 90s style during and right after, until we remembered the cool parts around 2012 and brought them back again. 😆

“My hair looks like wavy fries!”. Ahahaha! Too funny! I left that crimped hair look in the 1980’s. I should of kept my hair crimpers, because for souvenir sake, plus my family gave me one of the crimpers as an 8th grade graduation present 32 years ago. 😪. Plus in case there are ‘80’s themed parties & events I’m invited to. I had my cousin do that hairstyle of yours on me, sans the crimping of my hair. I had another cousin do half corn rows on me on a camping trip. Great times! 👍
