Everyone in valorant wants a repay system so bad but they don’t realise how much a replay system fucked up Fortnite’s servers. The part where he explains about how if it fails is every Fortnite game getting shot through walls and stuff. Imagine dying in valorant and a guy didn’t even peak on your screen.

I never really thought the vulnerability aspect of a replay system in Valorant. I can kinda see why they won’t add it now. A potential ‘fix’ without major vulnerabilities is having each client record their own actions and abilities, then at the end of the game, all clients send that data over to the other clients and “combine” them all. A problem though is a cheater can manipulate their own data and send it over, though a few sanity checks will ensure all they can do is mess with their own players actions, nothing harmful.

Thats true but if you look at cs2 replay system, not only its easier for players to review their matches w/o compromising performance (assuming they make it server side like cs), but it allows other developers to use the API to make an in-depth performance review of your gameplay compared to players of your skill rank. Basically a much more detailed version of valorant tracker or blitz. Also, like some other games, they can add extra features like giving us the enemy’s pov too which I think would be insanely good for players to review if their setup is on point or not. Bottom line is, a replay system is more than just a recording of your pov.
