One of the most interesting board situations and games I've seen. Very well played from beginning to end.

a very stimulating game. the 2 point map domination really necessitates good politics, by pure chance.

I stimulated myself too

Loved the dynamic against Pink. Almost felt bad for them. Wish Black did not break the block in the end. I was curious how it would turn out otherwise.

I’ve been playing well and holding a grandmaster status for a while now. - In the beginning I was like, “What in the world would I do here?” Your first four minutes were very impressive.

Poor purple chose split Scandinavia and olive went "oh so you've chosen death?" Lmao, rip the only noob not to make it to the long trading match (amazing plays tho, such a satisfying watch)

19:00 i think you skipped too much. im curious about blue taking blacks cap
@OliveXCАй бұрын
This is a fair point. It was about 5 minutes of card trading. Black kept the capital weak and blue went and took it. Players stayed the same after the move took place.
@tusk3260Ай бұрын
At 21:20 you should've left 30 to 50 troops on each cap in the hopes that other players lose a lot of troops taking them. You so link pink liked you more then blue and that black liked you more then pink. You won by a fluke.
@cassius7854Ай бұрын
Nah he won by calculated risks and insane card block skills, ik you're new here but olive is the goat at late game and card blocks, he maximised the troops he had on cap til he could defend the 2 point properly
@tusk3260Ай бұрын
@@cassius7854 calculated my !@#$ that was pure luck and you know it. Plus he played poorly at the start: He could've had Germany turn one and held it 2 or 3 turns giving him what he needed to easily take over East Europe or get a nice safe troop lead. Germany was given to him turn one and he didn't go for it. That's not calculated at all!
@cassius7854Ай бұрын
@@tusk3260 if he took Germany he had to trust purple, black and yellow all wouldn't break him, purple who showed to be a noob just overall with their play almost certainly would have imo, if he took east Europe he would have had both black and pink bordering that, the odds none of those players choose to break you when you're getting like +20 on turn 2/3 is crazy, he specifically said he wasn't playing usual aggressive snowball style of play and was instead going for a late game win based on position which is exactly what he did, it's in no way a fluke
@tusk3260Ай бұрын
@@cassius7854 purple like all other players are too busy securing their own bonuses at the start. Dont defend it, just take it turn one by putting 5 to take Denmark. Put the rest on Capital, use 5 from cap to take remaining territory leave 3 on it and fortify the 4 (3 troops) on capital making it a cap of 6 after turn one. You are practically guaranteed to hold as if anyone do try to get tour cap of 6 on turn 2, he'd just kill himself along with you. On turn 2 you already made going for Germany turh one worth it, even if you get broken after that, you are still much stronger then without taking germany, plus you still have troops in germany to use of move around. Yes you need to trust purple, but thats a 3 or 4 that he has to break through to get Denmark on turn one. Yellow is a bigger threat, but he was busy else where.
@tusk3260Ай бұрын
You started badly, risk4ever would have taken Germany turn one. 5 troops to take Denmark and rest on cap to take last territory, then fortify back to cap with biggest army.
@OliveXCАй бұрын
Hi. Welcome to the channel. Taking Germany was a bad play because purple was in Scandinavia. If purple broke me I could not retaliate against them. A hallmark of good neighbor theory is you should be nice if both sides will destroy each other in a fight. If one side can’t fight back it could be good to hit them.
@tusk3260Ай бұрын
@@OliveXC First of all, unless you were cheating, you didn't know purple was in Scandinavia. Second, you'd leave whatever is leftover from taking Denmark, using the 4 you got in east europe to reinforce your cap making it a 5 or 6 on turn one. You'd have a 3 or 4 defending Denmark, not strong enough to threaten him but strong enough to make him not want to break you on turn one. Yellow was the real threat and as you've seen, he wasn't interested. Yes germany WILL get broken on turn 3. But at this point, you already made it worth taking it. It was so cheap to take that holding it just one turn is worth. At most just defend with a 2 and put everything else on cap. Fact is, you did take Germany and held it for a while, but you could've had it much earlier. - If you don't like my advice, that's fine by me. I'll just win each time i face you because you are too slow to get early bonuses and because you play too safe, it makes you easy to card block.
@OliveXCАй бұрын
@@tusk3260 thank you for the reply! I actually normally take bonuses very aggressively! I knew my opponent was in Scandinavia because turn 1 they prioritized taking the split bonus hitting my territory with some context clues. If they broke me, I couldn’t do anything for a while. Pink would eventually break purple as they got strong but my position would be weaker. End of the day this game has many ways to play and I encourage you to see more videos so I can learn more about your perspective. Have a great day!
