Very good Steve, I fancy one of these. I’m not confident with Tech, the way you jumped through the hoops 👍 Would you consider explaining the difference between the various types of USB, pros of one against other and why we need different types. I’d find that helpful 😁👍

It's been one of my pet hates that no matter what gadget you had there was a "special cable" that you would only go in 1 way & you inevitably lost it or had to find it. THANKFULLY the industry has said no more & everything has to USB C from now on (this started in last couple of years) So even Apple on the iPhone 15 (Oct this year) will have a USB C port on it. Swift & others will eventually catch up as well. So no more 50/50 guessing which way round the cable goes either (as is the case with USB A) & special cables - all gone. When I get something now I look for "USB C" that will easily connect & also tells me it fairly new . I hope this helps

When our car was stolen, I left my Tourer two in there, so the insurance coughed up for a replacement. About 2 months after I replaced it, the sods released the Tourer Three. A little pet hate of mine, buying something that's almost immediately upgraded :-( I'm convincing myself I don't need any of the new features, although the USB port is a good replacement for that frankly odd charging port the Two uses...

Hi Steve. May I ask you a question? Like you, I have the Tourer 1 and drive a Land Rover vehicle similar to yours (Range Rover Sport to be precise). Sadly the Tourer 1 cannot get a GPS fix through the heated windscreen of the car. Garmin/Avtex don't appear to be interested so can I ask, if you have a heated screen, have you had such a problem with either model? I don't want to buy Tourer 3 if it's going to end up in a drawer like old one. Cheers.

I’ve never had that issue as I also have a T1 it was just very slow to search. The T3 is much better for this. Can you get an answer from Garmin as I did an online chat with them & gave the fix to the poi issue with in minutes? They were very nice
