RHP - AVOID LOW-IN (COLD)! MID-OUT, HIGH-OUT NEUTRAL, ALL ELSE HOT! LHP - AVOID LOW-IN (COLD)! HOT AREAS --> MID, MID-OUT, LOW-OUT 1. RHP Ball --> swinging strike (slider waaay out) --> 8th pitch BB (started out very aggressive, seemed to calm down middle of AB and started taking pitches!) 0/0 2. RHP Strike --> called strike (low-mid-in - 2:27 yessir, good take!) --> 2nd pitch double (took cold area strike P1, paid off immediately with a better one to hit P2!) 1/1 3. LHP Strike --> swinging in-play --> 1st pitch DEEP fly out (robbed! 3:19...mid-high-in - good/good - deserved better, obvs) 0/1 BB 4. LHP Strike --> called strike (mid-low-out, actually a good place to swing against lefties) --> 3rd pitch double (well low-in - game giving back after taking away from last AB, I think!) 2/2 5. RHP Strike --> swinging foul (mid-just in - very late swing) --> 3rd pitch strikeout (yuuuuck, swinging wild that AB!) 0/2 BB ***Giants made a game of it, nearly coming back from down 7 just like the Dodgers last episode...you had a solid game for the most part. Should have been your 3rd straight GINGER SPECIAL! Oh well, go for another in game 2!*** 6. LHP Strike --> swinging foul (mid-high-in - good/weak) --> 4th pitch strikeout looking (inside black-mid - good pitch) 0/3 BB 8. LHP Strike --> swinging foul (right down middle - darn, can’t miss those, wonder why the game gave weak contact there...) --> 5th pitch single (2 strikes - low black-mid-out - good/good) 1/4 BB 9. RHP Strike --> swinging in-play --> 1st pitch ground out (low-out - good/weak again!) 1/5 BB 10. IBB 10. IBB ***You had a single and drew 2 IBBs in an extra-inning W, to secure the series victory on the road in San Fran. Going for the sweep!*** 10. LHP Strike --> swinging in-play --> 1st pitch foul pop out (high black-mid-out - just late/weak) 2/9 BB ***No complaints here - team series sweep and yet another reaching base at least twice personally!*** SERIES First pitch: 5 balls, 9 strikes First pitch result: taken for ball = 2, swinging strike = 10 (7 in-zone, 3 outside), called strike = 2 AB Results: 3/4 after taking first pitch, 2/9 w/ BB after swinging at first pitch Series - 5/13, RBI, BB, 2 IBB Notes - Lots of unexplained weak contact on good swings in this series, it felt like. Its one thing when a pitch is on the black and you’re late with the swing...its another when its in a hot area and swing timing is good! - That being said, hard to complain with a team series sweep and reaching base at least twice in all 3 games...not bad at all!

This was a solid series, without a doubt! I kinda figured in that one at-bat (11:55) that swinging at the next pitch was going to be a mistake, so I actually took it. Baby steps, right? Thanks for the stats and analysis!
