Amazing how that drum worked from inside,, bet there had been a few hundred hours of brain work just to work out how to make it work. Suppose thats why theyre not a cheap machine. Hi Olly & the gang, I like the fact you give your % . I don't farm myself but I am in contact with my local farmers daily as I am a volenteer warden for a famous midland racetrack & work in the countryside looking after the gronds in other ways. I think this feeling % would work for outher country folk too!! I currently running about 70% . keep it going.

It was not that long ago, 80s that combines were cab-less, just a operators platform; I worked on the old Fahr combines, just look at that dust these things produce, many farmers got lung disease, before air conditioned sealed cabs..great video...

I always tuck them of on the PDI on the combine, I think there's a page in the operaters manual of the combine about the width of the front of crop elevator and the auger of the header

I really appreciate your farming content as it transports me back to my childhood growing up in the rural North East of Scotland in farming countryside. Feeling 80% today as I had a long heart to heart with my estranged at times son and talking through his childhood issues. Why do you take the side knives off the header for wheat and barley? You explain really well (as always) why you put them on for OSR but why not just leave them on the header for other crops?
