Honestly, I worry everyday that I'll never feel what it's like to be confident again until I'm able to get this done. It's terrifying. I haven't went out in public without some sort of hat, beanie, or headband to hide my widows peak in over 5 years (I'm 25). My girlfriend who I've been with for over 4 months now, has no idea that my hairline is receding. I can only come up with SO many excuses as to why I won't shower with her.. People think that it's not that big of a deal, but they don't realize how it effects us mentally. Turkey's become THE place to get quality yet inexpensive cosmetic work (hair transplants, veneers for teeth, etc.) so I think you chose well. I hope it works out for you. I was also genetically predisposed to baldness through my dad. I remember when he got a hair transplant when I was in my teens, and sure enough once I was in college, my own hairline started to recede a lot. I tried Rogaine for a bit but it didn't work for me; and eventually I rocked the Bruce Willis bleached buzzcut thing haha. But when I was 29 or so I just said fuck it and shaved my head clean - and I've never looked back :) Oh, then my dad - whose transplant never quite worked - copied me! Lol He's got a beard but otherwise we look pretty much alike now, two shaved heads. My sister then married another shaved head guy, great, so family gatherings look like a cult lol. Anyway.. I know hair loss is even scarier guys for guys like you who make their living in front of a camera, so I have much respect for your courage here. Wishing you the best. Tbh I think most surgeons in the west wouldn't entertain such a transplant, basically a mature hairline being reverted back to a juvenile one. Even when a man loses a lot of hair they try to restore closer to his before hairline to make it look natural.

Congrats! Keep in mind that prevention/maintenance is the biggest thing here. If you aren't taking it, highly recommend looking into propecia/finasteride to prevent any further loss - you definitely don't want the hair behind your new hairline to recede. It's not uncommon to need another transplant for adding more density down the line for better/fuller results. Nothing wrong with punching up the density. Don't feel the need to stay loyal to any surgeon either. For instance, some hair transplant surgeons tend to specialize in temples, hairline, or crown area. I've considered getting a transplant multiple times. I got on propecia at the age of 24, and have had good stabilization/slowing of recession at the age of 31. For myself, I'll assess as I approach my mid-thirties. I felt comfortable with where I was in my twenties, and wanted to see how it progressed as I aged. I have a shortlist of 3-4 surgeons I would feel comfortable operating on me. Interested to hear on your thoughts on FUE vs FUT. I understand if you want shorter haircuts FUE is better without the scar. All depends on how one heals/scars. FUT tends to have better transaction and survivability of grafts, but all depends on what you would like in your results. Excited to see how it looks over the course of the next 18 months. Keep in mind it might take up until then to really assess the result. Don't get discouraged during the 3-6 month ugly duckling stage is. You'll start to see it really grow around the 1 year mark. Good looks do matter man.one of my cousin brother used to look good when he had hairs. Once he lost hairs he didnt looked as good as bfr nd he lost confidence. Several girls rejected his marriage proposal because of this. Earlier when he had hairs he had girls all around but it changed after that. 2400 will be fine, generally most problems with hair transplants is they struggle to mimic the density of your natural thick hair so the doctor has probably done a solid creating the illusion of higher density

You get more grafts with FUT. The reason why clinics only perform FUE is because their doctors (if they even have one on staff) don't know how to perform a strip (FUT). FUE clinics use marketing gimics such as "FUE is scar-less" which is completely false. Also, the scar doesn't matter because you can always do FUE into the scar or SMP to cover it. In terms of affordable, money doesn't matter. Your donor zone does. If you spend less money but have a failed result, you cannot always get those grafts back. FUT technically covers more surface area because you can always do more strips in the future. I did a combination of both. Pretty great results thus far 👌

2400 grafts is way more than 2400 hair because some grafts have more than one hair(2 or 3). Plus they transplanted way more hair than you needed. It looks like they covered parts in the front that already had hair

I'm 20 and and saw my hairline receding and thinning on the left side when it was longer but is not that noticeable now. I cut it short in a number 3 buzzcut and no recession or thinning is showing. I don't plan on getting a hair transplant because it looks painful and there could be complications. I will just shave it off and I'll embrace the bald look when or if it recedes more.

For larger procedures FUT is actually better. You should definitely take Finasteride, either oral or topical. Some doctors say you don't have to, especially in Turkey. However this is rather irresponsible in the long term! RU58841 might also be enough as you're not a bad case of HL. Good luck!

Why would he want to take finasteride? He doesn’t seem like the type they will lose the whole top, just receding which he fixed. Finasteride is not worth the risk unless you have genetics to go fully bald then yes the rest that isn’t transplanted will thin.

I’m someone who has been using topical solutions and I have been waiting for transplants to be awesome. I’m in Kerala, South India where transplant is relatively cheap, around $2000, but the quality, especially the hairline looks obvious and artificial. There is always the option of correcting just the hairline but I’m not a 100 percent about the people performing the surgery. Thanks for sharing brother, yes I totally understand, hair loss is a big strike against your confidence, I believe a man should do what he needs to do to look and feel his best. I actually had a hair transplant 6 years ago, in US, horrible experience, didn't know about Turkey at that time, but yes it really helped my confidence but it's pretty thin still, need another one with more grafts for thickness, usually, one time isn't enough for maximum results, but not looking forward to the healing process.
