It's ok to buy dogs just make sure u don't buy them from irresponsible breeders or sketchy ones cuz the puppies could come from puppy mills but as long as u buy one from an ethical breeder its fine

It's a debatable topic. I agree with you, that sometimes you can't find the perfect animal for you at a shelter so then it may be an option to buy but on the other hand I disagree because if everyone continues to support breeders then there would be no end to animal cruelty as some breeders treat their animals VERY poorly. I mean, they're basically raping them. It's hard. (I'm not hating I'm just stating my opinion, I would never leave a hate comment and I agree that she doesn't deserve to be hated)

Huge props to you for being so responsible in your puppy seeking process! I’m a dog trainer and always have had rescue dogs personally but I believe that buying a well bred dog from a responsible breeder is a perfectly fine choice and often a better choice for certain people. I really appreciated your honest breeder chat!! I used to be VERY "adopt don't shop" but have since realised all situations (and breeders!) are different and the dogs breeders have need homes too! As long as people research the breeder and know they're safe and their pups are healthy, I will not judge at all, even if I personally would rather adopt (because that's what it is - a personal choice!). Sunny is absolutely adorable and I'm so glad she's found a loving mum in you

I have to say I solidly agree with this. I'm "shopping" my pup (a friend is breeding her dog, I'm taking one of those pups at a discount price) because I feel like a puppy will be easier for me as a first time dog owner to keep up with. Not only that, but I've seen KC dogs recommended more for first time owners because they have a breed temperament. It's really a situation to situation basis

My pup was terrified of her metal food bowl at first so I fed her on a small ceramic plate and then eventually swapped it out for a ceramic dog bowl. She’s gorgeous Han, congrats! You’re in for a wild ride 😅 the new dog mum life can be a struggle but so so worth it!

I'm sure you are very well researched but I feel like I should let you know because I've seen a lot of youtubers give their dogs regular baths so thought I would mention anyway, only give your dog a bath if they're dirty/stinky, dogs have natural oils on their skin that protect them from germs and stuff and bathing them gets rid of the oils, their coats are kept clean by these oils so be careful or their skin can become irritated! Sweet little baby she is :)

Hey there! I'm a dog groomer and I completely get where you're coming from here, but I'm just coming in to say that you can bath your dog up to once a week, making sure you use doggy conditioner and washing the soap out thoroughly before. Most I would say need it once a month to every other month, depending on where you walk the dog. A cavapoo's main concern is brushing and knots. a cavapoo, particularly when it gets its adult coat needs to be brushed every single day in order to avoid matting. Early introductions are PERFECT for this dog btw, they did a great job :)

I was too - scared/worried at first... about all of the responsibilities and such things, but as soon as I picked him up - I knew I had done the right thing and the worries faded away! Now, I couldn’t think about life without him. I decided to adopt him to help me combat my anxiety, and he has done that... but more! I chose to rescue a 2 year old staffie. I do not respect your decision to buy a pup at all. I agree completely with that you have to buy a dog that fits for your family. For us that was one that already had the basic training such as toilet training, sitting, laying etc. Don’t get me wrong, we have had to train him furthermore from when we rescued him. Don’t get too tied up about others opinions. Nobody lives your life, but you - so only you know the right decision to make 💓 I cannot wait to watch your journey with little sunny! I think you did a wonderful job at researching the breeder and all that goes into finding the right puppy for you....a lot of people will disagree but there are some amazing breeders out there that shouldn't be tarnished by the money making ones! I've had puppies (3) all my life and my parents have always been so responsible when choosing a breeder/puppy for the family! She is a beautiful little girl and it will honestly be the best thing you've ever done bringing a dog into your life and your family's life...I couldn't be without animals they are just amazing!! Obviously if you can rescue then please do, but your dad's issue is a great reason to choose a specific pup and to start, like you said, with a blank canvas!xx

Really loved the segment about rescuing etc I thought it was so honest and was great for you to explain. What with you dads allergy and your phobia getting a puppy was probably the best decision as rescue dogs can have very complex needs and since you haven’t had a dog before it might’ve been a struggle for you! A puppy is great for dog phobias as you watch it grow up etc and it actually helps way more then getting an older dog xx

Rescues having complex needs is a massive misconception - many are happy & healthy dogs from families who’s circumstances changed or who’s owners passed away. We have two rescues and they’re much kinder in nature and have less issues than the dog we bought as a pup!

As someone who adopted a dog and are very pro adopting I think that buying a puppy can be a good choice for first time owners tbh. Growing and learning with the journey from a puppy to an adult dog is a very good way of learning how to take care of a dog and live with one. There are of course puppies that you can adopt instead of buying and that is a good thing, but for someone to not be sure about and feel secure about how to take care of a dog with an uncertain background it can probably be much harder than it has to be. Also, I’m happy that you took so much time and responsibility to pick out the right breeder.

Omg she's adorable! I would 100% recommend puppy party classes, often vets will run them but it gets dogs used to other dogs and people which is great! Obviously these might not be happening because of social distancing but they are great! Also cavapoos and labradoodles have such amazing temperaments and loyalty, so you made a great choice!

We had the same problem with him when we first got him to do with his food bowl, he was terrified off it! We just had to try and show him it was a good thing that’s not scary but feeding him off our finger and showing him to the bowl until he became more confident! I have a cavapoo! They’re so cute!! My dog is 6 turning 7 in January and he’s still just like a little dog :) they’re the absolute best. My dog is called patch because he is all white with one apricot ear and they’re perfect for pretty much anyone. They don’t stay energetic for too long and even when they’re older, they are super calm when you are, but get really excited when on walks. One of my favourite things about my dog is that he’s really smart. It’s really easy to train him which is good. And, a good thing is with most cavapoos, if you can’t walk them every day, it’s ok, and they won’t wreck the house. As long as they get a good walk every couple of days they’re fine!! She’s so cute ❤️🥺 I’ve just watched a bit more of the video and my dog does the exact same thing after a bath!! He’s done that since he was a puppy and the second he gets out of the bath he runs to the nearest carpet/rug, and goes mad

This really helps! The lady (our puppy breeder) has been sending us pictures and videos. One of the pictures was with the the breeders son cuddling our puppy. In the video it was the same son (this narrows down them lying) She sent us the health certificates, the mum and dad both looked really healthy. To be honest I was really worried about my puppy's health but she ensured and gave us 100 percent truth to go about on. I'm allergiced to the hair of dogs (bit like your dad I think you mention him beingergic to the hair) so we decided to go with a miniature poodle. We get our beautifully healthy puppy a week on Monday (from when I'm typing this comment). His name is Teddy! Edit: My family and I have been looking for a dog for about half a year. This was NOT a Lockdown puppy!!!!! Sunny is so cute! ☀️❤️

She’s so cute !!!! My dogs 4 now but when he was a puppy he was terrified of his food bowl too and he still won’t eat it out of a bowl no matter how much training we did! Hope all goes well !
