I got a tufting gun! ☻ building a tufting frame + tufting my first rugs! ☻✿ Studio Vlog

Hi Friend! ☺
I've been working on something super exciting behind the scenes for the past couple months! I got a tufting gun! My husband and I decided to build our own tufting frame and it's big and it's beautiful! I'm absolutely loving it so far. This is actually the first wood working project my husband has ever done and he killed it! I'm trying to convince him he should keep it going and open his own shop lol
Anyways! In this vlog, we built our new tufting frame and also practiced making some rugs! He made a big Hylian Shield rug and I made a few little rugs. I think my favorite part of the process was the rug carving :) My next project is going to be bigger and a whole lot more ambitious, so keep an eye out for my next tufting vlog! Once I start getting a bit better at it, I'll add them to my shop!

Be careful sleeping in a room where wool fibres are in the air. It’s not great for your lungs. Later in life it kicks in and the damage will be done so please take care. I worked with fabric and it’s now taking its toll. Great video and blimey that beast of a gun is a bit scary.

That’s a good point, I didn’t think of that! 😬 we vacuum everything up immediately after, but I imagine it can’t get every single fiber. I’ll have to consider moving it somewhere else at some point. Thanks!

I punch needle as a mini hobby and I have always wanted to try Tufting, but I need to save a bit first😂

Yes! We used it for my husband’s big rug. I plan on using it for my next project since I wanna try something bigger and more detailed 🤭

Absolutely! I can definitely give some more info on the materials and tufting in general in my next video 😊 The one I got does both loop and cut pile, and it was reasonably affordable compared to others on the market. I'll get some more information on everything ready for my next upload!
