Man, the protagonist is a bit of a pushover. When he was being interrogated by that woman around 23:00, he could have just demanded an answer right then and there as to why he's being held there against his will like a captive and why she's being so irate about him leaving.

There’s tons of inconsistencies with how the main character acts most notably how he seems to be wary and conscientious of the danger. He’s in right up into the point he’s about to escape and does a 180 into the most predictable foreseen, horrible situation that just takes the entire story to the dumpster.

In the States at least, it's often used during special occasions (new years, weddings, anywhere that people might toast each other) to let those who can't drink participate and feel fancy. My dad used to bring in the new years with a glass of champagne while the kids got sparkling grape juice.

A lot of walk in freezers have locks on the inside to let people out. People have died from getting trapped in a walk in freezer, so the inside lock is a safety feature to prevent that.
