So much to say about the comment on how u treat ur son. She obviously has NOT watched enough to know your family values. He's not on drugs, loves spending time with his family, has said MANY times how much he loves his sister and on top of ALL of that wants to continue his education so he can help the autistic community. I feel foolish getting angry cuz u handled it so well lol. But I mean really, she is ignorant. Wow that felt good to rant.
@medinatabor64926 жыл бұрын
gmatt107 That remark didn't go over to well with me either. That statement could not be further from the truth.. They love BOTH of their children. Abby is special needs so of course they have to spend a lot of time w/ her. Isaiah. Yes ,the main topic of their vlog is Abby. This people invite us into their home in the hope of educating us on autism. Their little girl is autistic ,so course we see her a lot. Their son is a wonderful young man He smart, kind, compassionate, and well mannered. He loves his sister very much . He is the way he is because of his parents , who spent a lot of time with him, and continue to show him how important he is.
@tracywarfel34196 жыл бұрын
gmatt107 the person who made that comment obviously does not have kids, and obviously did not think the comment through. I mean parenting is not one size fits all. Kids require different things. They all have different needs. I mean, I have two healthy daughters 12 and 8, and I parent them different. I love them equally but, example my oldest is suoer mature so, I give her some space and allow her a little more freedoms. I also expect a little more from her. My youngest at 8 is not as mature as my 12 year old was when she was 8. My 8 year old is a little less mature. So while I pushed my older one academically because she can handle it, I held the little one back a year to start kinder later to give her more time to mature. Am I too strict on the oldest, or do I treay the little one like she is not smart. Neither. I parent according to the child's needs. I love them both and want the to succeed. It is the same for Priscilla and Asa. They parent according to their children's need. VERY SORRY ABOUT THE RANT. THAT COMMENT JUST DID NOT SIT WELL WITH ME. I mean come on are they suppose to treat Isaiah the same as they treat Abbie, or treat Abbie the same as Isaiah....either way the children's needs would not be met, and people would say they are bad parents if they treates them the same. No logic to that comment. Ugh!!!

Every child is different. They are their own person with their own personality and their own needs. So of course you have made Abbie your whole life...but that doesn't mean Isaiah isn't your whole life as well. Your love isn't divided by each child that you have...and I think most parents with more than one child would agree. I can tell how proud you are of Isaiah and you have expressed that many times. Keep being amazing...you all are truly an inspiration. Thanks for providing such incredible content for us all and for spreading Autism awareness 💙💚💛💜❤

Awesome !!! You handled that stupid comment about how you treat your kids different so gracefully love you guys you always bring a smile to my face 😁
@tracywarfel34196 жыл бұрын
Jennea B they did handle that question well. It bothers me that people are niave about how some children are treated different. It does not mean parents love one child over the other. It means they treat their children as people, and individuals. Kids should not be treated them same. There is no one universal one size fits all instructions for patenting. I mean come on how else should they treat Abbie? Treat her the same as Isaiah? Then people would say look how bad they treat their daughter. Are they suppose to treat Isaiah hiw they treat Abbie? Then they would be over bearinf controlling parents who heliciopter parent. Abbie requires a great deal of care due to her Autism, and Isaiah is a healthy male teen. No offense to the person who wrote that comment but, that was one of the least thought out comments I have ever seen. I mean the same parenting methods do not work for all kids. Crazy. That person must not have kids.

It just takes someone caring for another thrive. I love how real you guys are, explaining everything from Abbie's struggles, your struggles as parents and as business owners, and all the good times as a family. And Isah is such a good kid! Me and my sister weren't easy on our parents and sometimes I wish I could have been exactly like Isah for them. He's a good brother and a good human in general. Wow, that's a great question! I had a student have a meltdown at the doors of whole foods, and a parent came up and asked us saying, "I have a child on the spectrum, is there anything I can do to help You?" It was a sweet gesture, we couldn't use their help, but even a year later that meant so much.
@EHCBunny4real6 жыл бұрын
My son had a meltdown in a line at Walt Disney World. Two women criticized me because he was wearing a child restraint. They felt he could be better managed if I held him by the hand. I dropped the lease and allowed them to care for my child and he slipped away. One woman had to run and catch him by his lease when he was steps away from Tom Sawyer's pier. She handed back my child and had nothing else to say.

EH CBunny People can be so judgemental and overbearing! I feel like how dare you criticize my parenting! You have no idea who I am, no idea what my situation is like, what special needs my child might have, and it's none of your business! You don't approach me acting superior and tell me what I need to do. Don't look down your nose at another parent and judge them. You're not in their shoes. It's one thing to offer your help or ask questions, but it's not ok to do what those women did to you!

I found the medication interesting because I personally don't take any medication for my autism so it's interesting hearing other people's view. I think if it helping Abbie function better and be able to do more then it's only a good thing.
