Unironically this kind of cheater POV footage actually proves you're not cheating because it shows "perfect information" overlaid on what you actually do, which is imperfect all the time (e.g. not centering exactly on target, reacting slowly to visible enemies, or even missing visible enemies entirely cos your eyes aren't perfect). If someone could do this kind of thing in good faith (not like this dude/the BBB crowd just chasing clout by accusing anyone they can of cheating) it would actually clear most/all streamers of hackusations and be an interesting channel to watch... wouldn't get views though, because enragement is engagement and bitter COD players LOVE to see videos of top players "caught cheating" because it's more comforting than admitting some people are just better at the game.

I'm not sure it wouldn't get views tbh. Think that kind of information could be useful for someone like JGOD who has broken down top players' gameplay in the past. Adding an additional overlay of perfect information that he could toggle on and off could actually make for really good informational content. However, the problem is that if any reputable streamer bought hacks on an alternate account, stream sniped, and then recorded their spectator sessions, they'd get themselves banned from the game and banned from Twitch/YT. Not worth the risk of losing their channels even though the content could be compelling.

I’m a 43 year old gamer and I agree with you completely. I grew up playing FPS games when I was a kid when it was Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. I have a modest KD on WZ (around 1.5 KD), I play the game for fun but also accept there’s a ceiling for my ability at the game - I don’t have hours to put into it nor could I possibly have the reaction time of a teenager. When I get smoked in a 1 v 1 I can accept that the reflexes of a kid are going to be faster than mine and that’s all it is. Unfortunately some folks don’t want to let go of the past, they can’t accept how much things have changed and how cracked the younger generation can be, so they look for other excuses like cheating. I’ve played WZ since it came out, have died to a ton of cheaters but Meta ain’t one.

I feel like a doctoral dissertation on mental health and ego could be performed on the hack-usation/exposé players. My take is that they were set up by their environments to believe no one can posses greater skills than themselves and that all better players have to be cheating. I’m an alright player (1.3 KD) and I get called a cheater often and I think that it’s like a disease spreading as I hear it more often now. I’d love to see the correlation between people with diagnosed neurological differences and them saying someone is cheating. I also hear it a lot in younger players who likely just haven’t developed the humility and practicality aspects of their mind that most (not all) adults posses. If you’re cheating, then everyone is cheating.
