I can't believe I got bodied like this! This amazing Venom and Spiderman team in Marvel vs Capcom 1 gave me the business and even destroyed me by using a freeze glitch. I can't complain because I appreciate great gameplay, but dang!

As a spectator, I encountered that glitch so many times. How? If your team is Spider-Man and Venom and performed the Duo Team Attack, watch out for Venom's regular throw(the webbing grab) and Spidey throws a Web Ball. If it does, that opponent will freeze for the whole round unless the player attacks.

This guy was insane, love when people specialize in these old games, using the spiderman sweep on the orbs, the duo team combos, the web ball/throw glitch, it's really cool. 10:32 that series right there was just nasty, looked like something you would see in those old combo videos.

@@ellis7622 he didnt' know death bite beats legion clean as a reaction counter to it in or out of duo teams and he didn't lock down with crawler assault death bite in duo teams. I saw better specialists in 98 tournaments honestly.

dude, a quick tip as i watch the intro: you can qcb + start (down, down-back, back + start) and exchange a level of your super gauge for some special partner use recharge. you gain that colossus back by doing that.

Yeah lol, I didn't realize Venom could cancel his normals either until I decided to play as him in Fightcade back in 2015, he immediately became part of my main team after I realized that, he's super easy to play, just not the strongest.

Man, I forgot how cool variable cross was. it was almost like Marvel v.s. Capcom's version of custom combo / V-Ism / A-Groove. I always wondered if they should bring back that level 2 super - variable cross in future MVC games.

Bring back Team Cheating? Hell no That was the worst aspect of MvC1 by far and is ultimately the reason it fell off eventually (MvC2 put it out of its misery). I admit that I've never seen Venom played that well (Spider-Man, yes). But Justin could have counter-picked with Gold War Machine/Strider and that would have been the end of that gimmick team.

@@DiSCERiTYThe secret characters (and really, just Gold War Machine and Hyper Venom; no cares about Orange Hulk, Shadow Lady, or Roll) aren't better than the normal cast top tier (Strider, Wat Machine, Wolverine), and they have massive weaknesses. It just so happens, in the case of GWM, his weaknesses are easily offset by his strengths when paired with Strider or, worse yet, War Machine. MvC1 is much more a team game than its predecessors (which were just 1 on 1 on 1 on 1), though not to the extent that MvC2+ are.

"he doesn't do supers" spiderman can't combo into supers. i mean he can with his web crawler qcf+2k, but you can just roll out. he could combo with colossus with maxium spider, but you need the timing right. he's way more balanced than other top tier characters like wolverine/strider... cough. great footage tho. you're a legit pro, probably THE household name pro. it's always great to root for the underdogs lol. i do wish you tried out new characters in this game. like at 8:24 he could have maximum spider'd, but i think it's 2 things. 1) he likes doing combos, it's more satisfying 2) he's trying to build that meter to do duos.
