I hope you can compete in the next installment of OWCS, where they hopefully either update their guidelines to include players from currently unsupported regions or at least guide players through which documents they need to prove their residency status and resolve issues for players that can, for whatever reason, not provide these documents.

Honestly, why does anyone wanna play in a league run by Blizz? Nobody would even sponsor OWL for how many seasons? Some of the players abuse stories coming out, shows clearly they were ignored by those involved, to allow children to be mentally and physically abused with no oversight for viewership that was dwindling because of the company's own massive scandals of abuse internally. One team needs to just say they don't want to work with Blizz anymore and things could change.

@@midairgorilla people play in blizz leagues because they're the ones with the most money. it sucks because they're all so poorly run and heavily censored that it's just not worth watching them, but as backwards as it is, it's still solid for competitiors.

What an unfortunate waste of your time from the OWCS admins. It's a shame they didn't have the brains to at least qualify you for play before you went into matches so you didn't get let down like that. I'm sure your region will be able to pick up live service sometime in the not-so-distant future, but for now, it sucks to hear that they weren't specific about eligibility. Good luck on the ranked ladder and, hopefully, in future OWCS!

@@AntivenomOW everyone playing is just some regular person, pretty sure if it was up to them they would let everyone play, but they could possibly get into legal trouble when it comes to payouts for a russian citizen still sucks that they disqualified the whole team and didn't give him a chance to obtain the proper documents to play

Honestly it seems a little unfair that you’re not able to participate only because of your residency. I don’t see how it has such an impact that you (and your entire team??) would be disqualified.

Its because the rules states that a maximum of 2 players on your roster can be from a different region. I dont know why this was done most likely to stop all the players being korean and to foster players from different countries. Overall its a good thing but its sad that this guy got disqualified

Considering they follow a rulebook to the tee with negative exceptions based on very obvious proof that any "inadequite" documentation is entirely against your own fault, yet they still decide to go ham and decide that one moving from a political discoursed country to get a chance to play in owcs is a completely inadequite reasoning...
