Youre f**king hilarious mate, first 5 seconds to the last 5 you got me cracking up sometimes. Keen to watch this transformation unfold. I'm gonna start working on myself a whole lot more from now as well. I had a shocking realisation after this weekend past, and decided to make a change. The beginning of your own personal transformation couldn't have sprung at a greater time for me to really up and motivate myself. Inspiring as usual mate. LOVE IT 🤜🏽🤛🏽🔥

11:28 I'm 5'7" about 170cm. I've normally weighed between 65 and 70kg since my 20s. However, 6 years ago I was getting close to 86kg and looked just like you. I realised there was a problem when I looked down when having a wee and couldn't see my old fella, or my feet for that matter. I was eating way more than I used, having moved from a remote area down to a city where the variety of cheap food was incredible. Sea scallops in a cream sauce was one of my favourite dishes to cook. Or eggs, bacon, and a creamy mushroom sauce for breakfast. At around the same time, I started getting reflux issues from drinking, so had a scan done. The doctor called me in because they thought they'd found a shadow on my liver. When I got to the appointment next day, my doc said they'd got back to him and it wasn't a shadow. It was actually the only part of the liver not covered by a layer of fat. I had to ease off the drinking, and start moving. So I started walking. At first I'd walk a few kilometres, then started really walking. Within a fortnight I was walking up to 20kms a day. I'd average 10kms a day. The walking was also good for my headspace. When you're walking and you forget about the physical act of walking, you can get into some really great self-analysis and work through issues in your head. Well, it did for me. These past few years have been a bit tough though....but hey, we're not unique. A lot of us have stuff to get through...

You are a very good looking man, no matter how "fat" you are. I understand the part about being disgusted with yourself. If you are uncomfortable you can't live life to the fullest. You have been very "fit" before. You can do it.

Looking forward to seeing more, buddy. You might even inspire me to break my sedentary hermit lifestyle and actually really get outside.

Struggle with dignity - that's pretty much the definition of life. You can change yourself to better. I think being an extreme person helps sometimes because you put yourself in shitty situation, which you will have to learn to get out of on your own two feet, but at the end of it you will be glad you did it.

6:40 I wake up to the same alarm. Well, I used to. I had it set for 8:20am forever because of my insomnia and my afternoon shift work before the insomnia. Nowadays I'm usually up by 7am whether I pass out at 8pm or 2am...

That a real mans body, you don't want a 2 days from death washboard abs body. Leave that for soy boys and actors.

Beer, age, carbs, lack of good sleep, anti-biotics will do that to ya'. Ask me how I know! Your INNERSELF really is more important, and that seems to be showing through your smile & eyes. Love yourself~you are a living miracle!

Mmmm, so the weight training didn't go as planned, hey? I know the crisis you've been through so I ain't judging. I went the opposite way. PTSD sucks.

((hugs))! I went through something similar. I was 297 pounds(around 135kg) from comfort eating and depression. It took a while and a change in how (and how much) I ate. I still have the good things like chocolate etc. but in small amounts. It is better than not having it at all. I am now 185 pounds(83.91kg). Still not at my first goal weight of 175 but really close. I also added exercise by parking the furthest from the door when out running errands which helped. Then I started hiking in the hills again when I was in better shape which I had missed so much. You totally can do this and a year is a great amount of time to give yourself to reach your goal! - Heidi

Not that you asked, but cut out all carbs, and just eat meat, and vegetables, and the fat will melt, even without exercise. Check out Dr. Berg and others on KZbin mate.

@@QuestionThingsUseLogic Well, that's unhealthy long term. Eating like our ancient ancestors is best, except the grains, because they are not the same as they once were. In history, no surviving civilizations were vegan. Heck, there are people who eat only animal products and they have no body fat and their blood work is perfect.

You're inspiring. MB it's more of that 'covid 50' pounds? Millions packed on pounds in the last 3 years. Loads of people became depressed & offed themselves. I've seen worse...way worse! Amazing how open & honest you are with us viewers.
