He wasn’t the youngest, but not the oldest either. I got him in March 2020, so I had him for about 1 year 9 months. Wasn’t sure how old he was when I even got him. he stopped eating and drinking and would do nothing but sleep. I was going to try to take him to the vet, but it was too cold as it was winter. I didn’t want that temperature exposure to make him any worse. I kept doing research, and waited a bit but I knew his time was up. It was only about two days after he first acted differently that he died. I’m just grateful it didn’t happen on Christmas Day, God kept that sorrow around for the next day on the 26th 🙏🏻 I haven’t revisited this in a while, so thanks for the comment. I have had multiple hamsters , not a ton , but a few. I had another one after, but he died a few months ago. I don’t plan on getting anymore hamsters as I’m not in a position to take care of any pets at this time. Still, I don’t think I’ll get hamsters again, they are delicate animals. Loved having them going into my early teen years though. Also, that hamster never screamed again, only happened once and it was during his sleep. I started recording to show my mom after I heard one scream as I’d never heard that before, and the second scream was captured on the video. I was a little worried but he seemed fine, just startled after being scared out of his sleep for some reason lol. But you can see in the video I gave him a treat i got from the pet store and I pet him as he ate it to calm him down lol. Thanks again for the comment and for checking in on the hamster!
