4:30 if you lead the dock lines through the eye of the mooring and back to the same side/cleat you will significantly reduce chafe

Thank you! I watched y'all's video from the storm and it was crazy to see all the boats on the rocks and wall. Glad you guys made it out unscathed as well!

We rode it out in Charlotte Amalie, Crazy crazy night. Glad you made it through ok. We had several boats wash up on the rocks here.

Looks stressful dude! But also the mooring looked pretty protected from any huge waves and swells. Guess all that rigging experience came in handy - Alex

Glad you rode through unscathed. Almost worth going 50nm+ offshore and deploying a Jordan series drogue.

Have a look at the footage from the storm yesterday in Spain. Most the boats head sails unfurled. That's a easy prep man. I have seen many sails unfurl in my old age.

Most definitely. Took all the preparations necessary and made it out all good. Thanks for watching!

nice job, tip tho, if you are going to bridle a mooring eye, run 2 lines, one out and back on each side. otherwise you get that sawing action that has lost many a boat...

can you tell me why you had your tender a fair distance away from the boat? I would've thought it would be better close to the boat to try and maybe shield the tender from wind and waves. Is having close not a good idea for some reason?
@WheresWardoo4 ай бұрын
Interesting point, that's just how it ended up as it was a rush to get everything else prepped for the storm. No bad reason why it could be closer to the vessel other than possibly hitting the vessel as it turns back and forth. Thanks for watching!
