The Bangerz Era was the definition of a DECADE-DEFINING MOMENT IN POP CULTURE. Even if you didn't like it, you literally just HAD TO BE THERE!! Honestly one of the most iconic albums/eras of the 2010s, HANDS. DOWN!

I loved this album when it came out and I still love it. This was new and edgy for her at the time and now it’s a cultural staple in pop music. I feel like Miley should’ve gotten her first Grammy from this album. Hard to believe she did not get a Grammy until this year!

I was in my second year of high school during this era and it was literally EVERYWHERE. While I wasn’t into her image at the time, I still enjoyed some of the music such as the big singles and still do to this day. 😆

Back then Miley was an artist my little sister listened to, so it wasn't "cool" for me to like Miley. I can't say I enjoy this record that much apart from the singles, but she as an artist has really grown on me over the years.

I can never forget the I Can’t Stop SNL music video skit where Miley dresses as Michele Bachmann. So many great moments from this era.

I clicked so fast after reading the title 😂 I’ve been a Miley fan since her Hannah days, and although I actually enjoyed her Can’t be tamed era this one here took me by surprise (like everyone else as you said). I didn’t love this album at first, but a couple of years ago I decided to give it a second chance, and it DID grew on me. I found it hilarious that I didn’t like 4x4 and SMS and now they’re in my favorites, love to hear that you changed your mind on those too. Still not my favorite Miley album, but it did go up in my personal ranking.

I loved this album on the first listen! Drive, Adore You and Do My Thang are the standout tracks to me. I listened to Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz album a couple months ago and got into it again. I first heard it when it came out and I'm still as obsessed with it as I was back then except for like 2 songs. I just wish it was released on a physical album.

PS: The rock remix of her 2008 song " Who owns my heart " is the greatest example of me experiencing learning to love a song, that I thought was unlistenable when it first came out.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Loved Bangerz from the get go! Lol, had me in a choke hold! This was her spill all album! FU is so good, it should of been higher on the list of hits! Still one of my favs to date! Didn't quite like French Montana on it though!

I was never into her music and I still feel pretty indifferent about it. But I remember my roommate in college was really into her music and I had to listen to Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz when it got released. I think I heard it twice but it kinda solidified for me that I wasn't into the raunchy Cyrus act lol. My wife like some of her newer stuff but that's a lot more tolerable to me. It was just interesting to hear thoughts on this era of her life and to hear the growth you went through

Hello have you heard RM's album 'Right Place Wrong Person' The album with 11 songs that careen from hip-hop to jazz to punk to R&B to Fela Kuty-styled Afrobeats, this album comes out at the end of May and I guarantee you won't be disappointed

Agree with you on Maybe You're Right being a weak little pause before Someone Else (maybe the best album closer in her discography? Almost definitely). The bonus track Rooting For My Baby should've had its spot on the album; it has the perfect somber vibe to lead into Someone Else, and is in my opinion way stronger than Maybe You're Right. Not as intense as Someone Else, but it has its own kind of lingering hold that Maybe You're Right just doesn't.
