Dear Sarah, 🥰I loved sharing in your first time experience of Dazed and Confused. Watching and hearing first timers like you hearing Led Zeppelin gives us a way to hear LZ as if for the first time, all over again-except that we know what's coming that you're just about to hear! I'm 77 years old. I was around in 1968, age 21, when LZ arrived. I saw them four times in concert, including in row 2 dead center, Madison Square Garden. I devoted at least 25 years of my life to Led Zeppelin. Oddly, the track you used for your video, a 1970 concert in Royal Albert Hall, was entirely new to me. Even though the concert image in your video was very small, I could NOT believe what I was seeing and hearing. I've looked it up and will play it right after this comment. In the meantime, may I suggest that you, if you haven't already, listen to the original studio recording also. It will be worth it.

I have been obsessed with this piece for 40+ years; Page's composition & delivery is both awe inspiring & haunting - I would say that Dazed & Confused is Page's swan-song, rather than Kashmir. Speaking of witchcraft & voodoo, perhaps Hendrix' Machine Gun invokes similar mystical spirits. I recommend watching the LZ video "The Song Remains The Same" to see a visual interpretation of this wondrous/evocative symphony - Clearly there is deeper meaning in Jimmy's D&C offering. The emotion's felt since my first reaction to the instrumental have never dulled since the 1969 inception first assaulted my ear drums. Your reaction SD, whilst typical may be somewhat mediocre; But your prayer to ask God "Why would you bless some people with this kind of talent, & leave the rest of us with nothing!" (& your compliment about the organised chaos) is both beautiful & entirely appropriate. Whilst there is innovation on every performance of this magical experience, there is certainly an underlying consistent composition that hits the mark every time. Thanks for your video. 🥁🎙🎹🎸
