I was so excited playing CS2 and finally getting my Premier Rank on the game. I played through plenty of games (lost plenty as well, cause my teammates were keen on picking maps that neither I or them had ever played before), but I did perform reasonably well most of the time. Reached the point of having to win one more game and upon ranking up I realized that I'm 96% of the worst players worldwide with a 4,6k ELO ranking. Now I totally feel like a gigachad.

rating means nothing right now, my GN1 friend with 100 hours was bottom frag every game, negative kd every game, bad positioning, no util usage etc and got 11.5k. I'm global/faceit lvl8, carried every game, average like 2-3kd, great positioning, great flashes, util comms etc got 8.5k. A friend who is faceit lvl 10 got 6.4k... it's just random numbers cant tell me otherwise.

Probably just means wherever you started from and/or the people you got matched with weren't that high, not like they'd give you 15k if you won those 10 against 5ks. Wouldn't be surprised if the ratings are kinda out of whack anyways from the giant influx of players all without ratings, and that the ratings should extend past where global was so who knows what ranks correspond to what ratings. I'm sure someone has put together some idea but I haven't seen it

4:12 I think that could just be one of those weird things where things are juuuuust slightly different and it fucks your brain up. Weirdly those are the times I do best and can play way above my rank, because I just thrive in the chaos. One of my favorite memories in CSGO that I really wish I still had the demo of was when Santorini was added to the game. I was ranked either GN1 or GN2, had never been higher than GN4, and was playing on a S3 alt. I was queued with a S2, a DMG, an LE, and a SMFC who was cheating, and we were matched against ~LEs. I dropped 40+ kills and got accused of being a smurf early in the game, and the SMFC cheater was convinced I was cheating too. I think it was partially that I was just fully in the zone that game, but mostly that no one was used to the map and were being thrown off by not knowing how to play it yet, whereas I've always been more chaotic in my playstyle, never choosing where to play and just trying to fill whatever gap I think my team has. Plus an almost benefit of not really 'learning' the game but just playing it and watching gameplay, so I think by being 'dumber' I'm less disadvantaged when put somewhere new because I've always been just winging it. So put me in a game with 'smarter' players who have positions and strats on other maps and I can mess with them by bringing the chaotic silver pug energy that makes you go "WHY ARE THEY THERE" when you get killed from the dumbest positions lol. Still really wish I had that demo though, was probably the best game I ever played especially considering it wasn't against lower ranks, but I was dumb when cleaning out my hard drives and forgot that the CSGO folder that wasn't where the game was installed anymore had all my old demos :(

You said something interesting about keeping mobile while holding angles because of peeker's advantage which is extremely funny as that's the consensus on Valorant as well. The higher tickrate is the reason for this most likely.

the servers in premiere are still 64 tick. as far as i know, the subtick system only works for infortmation you send to server. all information coming back to you is at standard 64 tick intivals. this is why wide peeking and high ping is such an advantage in cs2, and also why people are dying behind walls or to people they can't see. friend of mine said that in addition to this, most of the issues are due to poor network coding by valve and that this can be fixed with console commands that you can't use in premiere - i think it's probably because servers are very stressed with the open playtest now personally, though it may be a mix of the two. have to wait and see.

cs2 is the biggest meme for me now, i've waited so long for the beta and got it last wave. Played callibration with my friends, carried most of the games and got 9500points (i got 2500elo on faceit), and today i got banned for 24h after smashing people and they reported me thinking that i was cheating

@@iplayz1191 to be fair i was only Gold Master when i started CS2 so im not even that good. But i played a game the other day where the enemy team was a 5 stack and 2 people were on the global top 100 they ranged from 16k to 26k and my team had a 1500, me at 4600, and 2 unranked lads. An impossible game to win. We lost 3-13 and i wouldve gotten only 215 pts on a win against them. Nothing about the game made sense. I shouldnt have matched into their lobby, i shouldve lost less than 112 and i shouldve been able to gain at least 500 pts if i won. Im NA so everyone is trash i play with. Mics are only used to talk shit to your teammates. Its a terrible experience. Looking forward to premier changes when beta is done bc the state its in right now is not accurate or acceptable.

I physically can not stand playing csgo2, always get queued up with 2 guys who teamkill until 1 gets banned then the other votes surrender instantly, or you steamroll the enemy team, they all spam report you for every option, and you get an instant 4 day ban because they clicked griefing report
