I'm 58. I have memories of seeing women going about their day in curlers, with a scarf tied around their head. It was something so basic. It was something women could do for each other while having tea and chat. You didn't have to go to the salon to have curlers put in. You just needed a friend with a rat tail come and a packet of Bobby pins.

The more you use it the easier it gets. And honestly small burns do happen but from practice it won't bother you too much later

Maybe your hair is on the thinner side? Usually the hair sort of insulates and protects you from the full heat on the iron while still getting hot enough to know if the curl is set.

This hairdresser was spectacular with you, attentive, respectful and sweet. She gave the extra mile and she brought to you extra value through her work done onto you. You should feel elated and grateful for that. The other make-up artist and hairdresser that made you a fall look in your makeup was okay but kind of sour. And, worked on you with desdain and dryness. This has been one of the videos that I have most enjoyed. Is not only the job that matters. Is how it is done, with gracefulness or sourness because everything is energy and that energy is placed in our auric fields, chakras and beyond. Therefore, will add or rest value on us afterwards feeling with high self-esteem or depressed.
