The ending was scary and happy. I like to believe it to be a show of forgiveness as well as a threat. That robot entered not only his home, but his sons' room, silently in the dead of night. That is terrifying. If I were the dad and I saw all those toys, I might've had a heart attack and ruined the holidays.
