Kid has a bright future in the game for sure. Removing one-move-blunders comes down to taking your time a little bit more, which I'm sure he learned.

even GM sometime miss simple stuff, happen to everyone. sometime you focus too much on something & miss important stuff. Look at the Botez gambit, they are not low rated & yet very often give free queen for no reason because they miss it

Came here after reading the CNN article… Anna, you’re a star! Wishing you wellness and empowerment!! Man or woman, extremely few ppl have such a rare combination of analytical intelligence, communication skills, charisma, AND a pleasant aesthetic. No intention whatsoever to invalidate your feelings, unwanted advances are certainly uncomfortable for everyone, and feeling unsafe is literally the worst state of being. I only hope you are able to see this scenario as well as you can see the board. Everyone is playing within their best vision of this weird game, and, through universal blessings and your hard work, you’ve received and earned promotion to have more major pieces than most. Being a woman in a predominately male sport, has its unique set of challenges to which I have no clue and no intention of pretending I know what that is really like. I would only like and hope to send you light so you can see through the shadows of all masculine (and feminine) archetypes to play your game with the utmost clarity. I know a 1300 kid that i feel like the underdog against as a 1600. Even his little brother isn't a cakewalk. I suck at openings and amusingly that's how I barely beat them: let them get cocky, bored, and sloppy. Kid attention spans. 1/1 vs the elder and 1/0 vs younger

what can I say ... we didnt pack any white shirt, much less a T shirt ... he doesnt care what he is wearing, we were just trying to get as close as possible to "something" white under the jacket ... he wanted to show his respect to such a tournament thoug ... he doesnt even play a minecraft at all (like never)

Chess terminology: Toilet move(not to be confused with toilet gate): The move you make just before going to the bathroom, is usually a high pressure move. It is also a combination of zugzwang and time trouble and can often lead to making bad moves and blunders. Reverse toilet: This is the move you try to make quickly when your opponent just got up and is heading for the bathroom. Ideally you wait until they have left the room so they won't notice you already moved. This move might often be a sub standard move as well. In contrast to the toilet move you still got time to take it back secretly though (just kidding ;)).

I really didnt know you before, but you are very strong chess player and you look like very nice, warm hearted, incredibly great person to meet!!!!!! So glad what you´ve told about him and how nice you were. Hope to see you in some other tournament (Rejkyavik again?) and hope that you´ll remember Riško. Always a pleasure to play against chess players like you - great at chess, not spoiled, not distant, fair, well, everything:-))))) I have to say to everybody, WE REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE GREETINGS, (even from our country or the Czech Republic, as I consider myself still a czechoslovak), and THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR WISHES AND WARM COMMENTS. haters, I´ll try to forget ... Thay only project what´s inside them ... i pity them, but Iĺl forget ... Riško was reading some of the comments yesterday (for the first time). The most significant thing about him is that he loves chess and everything about it ... he loves to play chess, tournaments, isnt affraid of strong oponnents, always try to give his best. He was so happy that we allowed him to go to Iceland (quite a distance from our country). he is ok, dont worry. RIŠKO HAS ONE MESSAGE FOR YOU: THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY. So, maybe he´ll one day be a great chess player, maybe not, and will be good at something else. But we support him to do what he loves the most in the worls (except our family of course:-). The important thing is, that he will be - and is - a good person (also thanks to the chess and its culture), loves the game, wishes always the best - and to win to all his chess friends, helps others. Every match for him is a chance to learn. He is learning (mostly chess) every day (although we are about to do the chemistry homework right now:-). I only believe, he was just "in the flow state of mind" almost all the game, except for the rock of course. But it happens. He is only at the beggining of his chess carierre, for he is playing chess (from his first chess class) something longer than four years. Has more intuition than theory (working on it). And he works hard, because to him, its fun /to sit for hours at home analyzing the games, watching them, or doing other chess stuff:-) I dont want you bore any more, but this was a huge surprise for us, like HUGE. What is the posibility that in the 2 nd round you will be paired against a famous chess player (and for real, hope no offense Anna, he didnt know you at all - he was just concentraiting on the game before him). So that you ´ll be paired against anna cramling, and play that well ... he could as well play bad (and he can do that too). So if there is a "chess heaven", maybe it likes his attitude:-) BUD THANK YOU TO YOU ALL, RESPECT TO YOU ALL! and some fun in the end: "I was also affraid he would be destryed after the game, but he was not happy, that´s for sure, but he said with a bit of fun "Now I will be famous in Sweden" :-))) and me - "of course you will" - and we laughed. Than he started to analyze the game. Although, people at the tournaments after the Rejkyavik - in Slovakia were recognizing him:-). (And started to prepare against him:-). So have a nice rest of the Sunday, and all the best to you all - and thanks again, ANNA.
