Last month, I started job hunting and my results are not the best but I learnt a lot. I want to share with you what I have learnt and the resources I found useful.

This is a really cool video idea. I have had a super hard time in the past with this. The jobs I would start to get interested in there was always a crazy catch or it just didn’t pay what it should. It’s tough out there for sure. Good luck with your pursuit! If you ever need or want royalty free music for your future videos we gotchu covered 😊

2/20 (10%) is actually a really high percentage for application to interview ratio. While 20 applications isn't a large sample size, it's still a good metric. Metrics for time spent will improve. Recovering from rejections is just a part of the process, 5 days to recover is a lot of time, which should get easier (unfortunately). Over analyzing each job's qualifications may be hindering the total amount of job applications sent. Even if you meet say 70% of the qualifications for a position, that job may be still worth the effort of applying for. Some positions that you meet 100% of the qualifications may not interview you at all, while a position where you meet 65% of the requirements, paying more and working remote, does. Will be interesting to see, if in say one month how the metrics change. It's helpful to see how you progress on the journey and what changes to the job search methodology can be made along the way. Good job.

Tailor your resume to a few jobs that suit you best (focus on quality over quantity, and try to connect with people at the organizations you’ve applied to-they can offer valuable insights and support. I know it's challenging, but with persistence, everything will work out for you). While honing your skills, consider earning some extra money on the side and sharing your work online through blogs or posts. This can motivate you, enhance your resume, and expand your skill set, providing new perspectives on problems and helping you stand out to potential employers. Keep growing stronger!💪💪!
