My 24 Buick Envista Avenier is 1 year old and I have zero rattles. Love how quiet it is and how it drives.

My '24 ST hasn't rattled at all, and I live in Pot-Holesville NM. So far a decent car, though with all this new technology - I wonder how long it will be before something ticks off. One thing I am thankful for is the collision detection - on a 40mph road a truck started to veer off to hit me head on - the Envista detected it more than 50 yards away! Gave me time to exit way off on the shoulder - the truck would have hit me smack head on, hit a telephone pole instead. That was incredible.

@@RedEyeC good luck, I don’t wish rattles on anyone. Nothing more frustrating than buying a car that is sold on the merits of refinement and quietness. Then it rattles. My Cadillac CTS developed a rattle. Being out of warranty I used the wedge paper towel in between the objects that were rubbing/rattling technique to fix that.lol In general I still like to feel that my experience was the exception, not the norm. It was really the poor customer service that sealed the deal. I was willing to give the car more chances. But it wasn’t meant to be.

@@s47industries - more than likely most mechanics at the dealerships have no idea how to work on these modern automobiles, so it's a guessing game for them - especially to find loose parts that rattle. When they get recall notices, it comes with step by step detailed videos on how to perform the particular recalls - so it isn't any basic knowledge from the dealership service departments. Still trying to get my 2nd key from the dealership I bought my ST from - reluctant to contact the BBB because I know after a dispute I'd end up with the key, and no future help with the dealership if something were to go wrong.

But i have been waiting on the part for 3months.. they ordered one cause there’s a chance it will break when they will remove it. Part availability really sucks with this car unfortunately
@LeNoir1NC16 күн бұрын
I understand your frustration even with customer service. The parts problem is bigger than it being just a new car. There are labor shortages in manufacturing parts and transportation & logistics plus freight bottlenecks. It took 3-months to receive parts to fix my friend's 2014 Chevy Cruz. It took longer for someone to get their Ford 150 truck repaired. We are facing a different reality today with longer wait times (for many brands) due to supply chain issues. Wish you the very best with your Subaru Crosstrek (nice car)! Thankfully, my 2024 Buick Envista ST has had no issues for a little more than a year. It has been a great car for my needs.

Everything is probably allocated for new assembly and not for post production sales. My understanding is that the wait time for a new windshield for the Envista was approaching months. Just some feedback, the music felt a little too loud with your voice. I had a hard time focusing. Anyways, supply issues are terrible with any company, but GM, particularly with new models, is awful. I had a 24' Trax for about a year, so the Envistas Chevy equivalent. My windshield cracked all the way across, likely due to a fault in the manufacturing, and did not get one after 4 months on a waitlist. I only happened to get one after calling a local shop that had one left after ordering a few early on to keep extra. I was waitlisted with both a Chevy dealer and Safelite, supposedly first in line at both for that time period. Being part of an owners group on Facebook, I saw this was a common problem, and also that more severe damage, like from an accident, was having people wait for 6+ months on parts. I ended up trading the lease in for a Blazer, because it freaked me out to think that if the Trax got damaged, that it could just never be fixed. I'll never buy a new-gen vehicle again, I refuse to be a beta tester for a car company's supply chain.
@s47industriesАй бұрын
I appreciate the feedback. Yeah my audio is definitely something that I'm still struggling with. It's weird, because on lots of my videos, if I listen on my cell phone it sounds fine, but when I listen to any device that has bass, sometimes it ruins the dialogue. I'l continue to work on it. Yeah the parts issue thing is one of the biggest complaints over on the Buick Envista Owners page on FB. Problem is over there too many people are going there for confirmation bias. They want to hear others praise the vehicle or defend issues that others bring up. For a while I did my best to defend the vehicle as a year 1 production model. I tried to be patient, and I was for far too long. But when it became clear that the supply chain issues would continue well in the MY25 and that the quality if anything got worse with MY25 it definitely gave me some concern. Then of course it was the poor customer service both from Buick Engagement and from the first dealership that really got me to start pursuing a buyback/lemon law. I'd really like to see some leadership change at GM. I feel their focus on things that GM Enthusiasts just don't care about has really chased away the old guard and the pursuit of the green (and not talking about money) direction has hurt reliability and build quality. I mean, look at me I'm driving a Subaru my best bud is driving a Toyota. Granted if we're buying trucks we're probably gonna go Silverado/Suburban and get the AFM delete/deactivator. lol

@josephryan2166Ай бұрын
The Avenir would still have the same issue as the base model, its not like trim upgrades are removing the plastic covering these cheaper cars.
@s47industriesАй бұрын
Avenir and ST are actually known to be more problematic as it relates to the exterior trim panels/plastic pieces falling off. The grille design while more stylish, is weaker, resulting in the front tow hook cover being more prone to falling off. Of all the Envista tow hook covers I've seen that fell off, less than 5 were Preferred trim. There rest were almost always either ST or Avenir.
