The majority of us don't feel remorse when we pollute our own country. Lesson learnt in 2023 should keep you alert from 2024 onwards. My nephew had placed his phone on the table towards the wall in a busy restaurant. He being a doctor was continuously getting calls. Blink of the eyelid it was gone. When reported they told him 'consider it gone'...

I was a victim of pick pocketing in Oxford street exactly 1yr ago.my iPhone 13promax picked up from my jacket’s outside pocket same like yours.Police asked about iPhone insurance ,I never heard about insurance as I was new here.After 6months find my phone activated in china ,till that time it was switched off.Most of the pick pocketers are women not men.Police and insurance companies encouraging them to do pick pocketing in London .Still I am very conscious whenever I go for shopping..Robbery and pick pocketing is very common in London streets.

I can feel your pain because I got robbed 4 months before in Manchester. My phone was snatched by a teenage boy and he was riding his bike. I always keep my phone in my pocket because I know the seriousness of robbery in England. I was going back to home after work and I took my phone to just play some music, suddenly someone behind me snatched my phone ( I didn’t understand what is happening for 4 seconds). But Ishani you could track the phone. I couldn’t do that because the robber turned off the share my location and logged out me from my apple id. Actually I am telling that he was following me , and he took away my phone when the screen was on. So the person didn’t need to do the password things. It happened 4 months ago, but it still gives me chill when I think that day. I was also overthinking about my images and social media apps, because everything in that phone. And my bad I didn’t properly do the images backup to the iCloud, so I lost my photos of 2 years. I suffered a lot to recover all my things. Be careful guys

If you are registered the case on Action fraud the police will definitely call you within 48 hours.Then they will ask some questions regarding this robbery to the victim. After some days police will send you a email that they are going to close the case of yours.They will not give much importance for this robbery.

It’s almost the same here in Canada too, but here not about pickpocketing, auto theft is very common in the Toronto region and the police won’t do anything about this, they advise you to leave the car and claim insurance, if anyone comes for your car just leave and run for life …

Day light Robbery is common in Every major busy city in Europe tbh, Hence, travel advice is to always always always be 100% thorough and vigilant and cautious! Never flaunt your belongings especially items which have value around because this attracts theft! … but again, some are lucky and some are unlucky. London is home to car jacking, wallet jacking and phone jacking. There are gangs and thugs in the city that constantly monitor movements of people. The gang culture here is not visible to the common persons eyes , so don’t take things for granted. But, having said all this, London and Paris are the best cities in the world , I say this being horn and raised in the best cities on the continent! Love it! Also the police don’t really care about such petty crimes. Most of us in UK have taken privatised insurance on our personal valuable devices paid out on a monthly basis .. this ensures theft and damage , especially accidental loss of phones. It’s a big thing here. Obviously if you’re spending a huge amount on a valuable item then of course it’s a no brainer to spend additionally on insurance! Just like you spend huge amount on cloud storage on a monthly basis.

To all the people , who are travelling to Uk and are in Uk . Please get a content insurance and take pictures with your items. It’s not that expensive to get a content insurance, compared to buying a brand new replacement.Police will not go after small theft, because people have insurance on their belongings , jewellery or phone or watch . Generally insurance will help you get a new item.

Stores don’t show their cc tv footage to us. Only the police have access to it. And the police said they’ll contact us within 48 hours and they haven’t. Sadly, such thefts aren’t considered a big deal here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, please be careful in London especially during new year time. I was naïve too about pickpocketing in London and that too in Hard rock cafe. I am very sure it was the con artists who were dressed up as customers and you won't doubt them too. I was seated in round table with my family. My branded bag was hung back of my chair. When the waiter came to take my order, I moved forward and I leaned back and I immediately noticed it had been nicked. I understand how you feel. The police here is useless.
