I Got SCAMMED on OLX - Indian Army Fraud 2023 | MUST WATCH

I just received an similar one today when i received a call from a person Claiming to be from Army. I am selling my laptop HP-15s for 60-70% of mrp as it is well maintained. I checked his number on True caller and the number was from Jammu and Kashmir as per his told for his posting. He told that a person from his home will come to check for the laptop. And then will see about buying or not. And he will transfer money online. IDK whether to trust him or not He seemed to be quite sweet. I already got a another person convinced to buy my laptop. He will buy it after a week He came at evening checked the laptop for 30 minutes and he seemes preety impressed I am talking as i am getting 4,000 more from the person claiming to be from army What should i Do ?

Sir ji and bhai log aaisa same case exactly same meri building me ek ladki ke saath hua tha unhone apne bed ki ad daali thi olx ka naam lekar aaise hi ek bande ne call kari aur unhone same advance ka bola aur unhone itne idea nahi tha unhone accept kar liya aur 5000 account se deduct aur jab aap inhe call back karogae toh woh switch off kar dengae aur sim kabhi active nahi hota. Thank you iss scam ko itne logo tak paumchne ke liye yeh sirf phone tak nahi balki harr cheej par hota hai.

I was scammed using similar method approx 3 years ago, fortunately amount was only Rs 1500. I immediately registered complaint with cybercrime department and also got complaint no., I was asked to register FIR with local police station as a formality. Unfortunately I had to visit multiple police stations as no one was agreeing to register FIR siting reasons like jurisdiction issues and cybercrime department is different then regular police, etc. After multiple visits, and contacting collector directly I got in touch with cybercrime department and they told me that "FIR IS ONLY LODGED IF AMOUNT INVOLVED IS MORE THEN 50,000/-" They also showed me official notification in this regards by respective police officers, of course on letter head. At the end of the day all I was able to get local police station receive my complaint on blank paper (not FIR), I was socked to see a bunch of similar complaints stacked on blank paper lying on their desk. When I enquired about it, they said they receive double of that bunch complaints (50+ complaints) on daily basis and also said don't expect any outcome of this. Till day there hasn't been a single development for the case.

None of the army personnel have any army account only documents or data which cannot be shared or accessed by themselves without a proper authorization letter. They will have account in SBI as all the govt employees have the account in it. If dealing with such cases if you come across such a call, Make sure to get a NIFT transfer or cash in person or a video call. Never click on a pop showing " PAY ". Make sure you never click on any anonymous links after such calls and try to activate 2-factor authentications, When losing the war they tend to over take your account via links or try logging in using brute force. Last mey gali deyne kay liye maath bhulna call par.

Ma bhi mera 11th ka books ka ad lagaya tha aur jaisa video ma kaha thik vaisa hi hua . Per woh person bola ki woh ek Book Store ka owner ha. Aur bola ki usne books ka Paisa online ma advance ma pay kardega. But uska baad kya hua ki woh mujha QR code bhejna laga aur kaha maina amount send Kiya ha aap scan Karo toh Paisa aajayaga but uska baad usne kaha kuch gadbad hua toh usne 3-4 baar code bheja maina scan Kiya aur woh amount bhi double triple kar raha tha since mera bank se uske paas jaara tha toh usne kaha aap karo Paisa wapas aajayaga. Fir mujha yeh samajna der hogaya aur mera father ka bank se total 87000 chalagaya. Maina use bola ki Paisa return Karo woh kehara tha ki mera ko 11000 bhejo phir return aajaya apna aap paar ma samaj Gaya tha aur paisa jaayanga toh ma cut kardiya. Pappa ko utna knowledge nahi ha phone pay ka toh ma hi karra tha. Ghar ma sab pareshan ha itna Paisa jaana ka Karan. Mujha sach ma bohot dukh horaraha ha. Abhi kal hi raat ma hua ha yeh sab. Cyber crime raat ma kar raha tha koi response nahi tha toh subha report Kiya ha. Abhi pata nahi Paisa waapas milanga ki nahi. Complaint toh kardiya ha. 😭😭😭

Just got a same call, guy said he is from indira gandhi airpot, delhi and in army, when i asked he said this for his wife, then i said i will accept payment in cash only, then he start arguing and eventually i refused to sell, then he start abusing n i disconnected, so shameful using army name and fooling people.

Ye ho chuka hai mere saath kai baar, but I'm always alert ⚠️, mujhe pata hota hai ki ye scam wale hi hai phir bhi me unki leta rehta hu😂. Ye log hamesha new ads ko hi target karte hai aur bohot jaldi quoted rate pe lene ke liye taiyaar ho jate hai.

Mere pass aise hi ayaa tha phone pay par bol rha ki cashback aya hai accept kriye maine dekha to vaha likha aa rha ki allow and accet the payment of 5000... i was aware aur usko smjhaya phir ache se....btw thanks apka ✌
