i got SO MANY dolls at the thrift store!! (doll hunt & haul) - Barbie, Disney, Bratz & more!

The thrift gods blessed me last Saturday with a mint condition original pleasant company Kaya American Girl doll with a few bonus accessories. I paid ten dollars. TEN DOLLARS. I believe I’ve used up a year’s worth of luck in one day.. Not sure if I’m gonna sell her or not since I don’t collect AG dolls. Kaya was a childhood dream doll and I just couldn’t pass her up for ten bucks 😅

Omg, I got a very similar blessing years ago. I never got into AG either (the neighbor girl liked them, but she never got me into them). Despite that Ive always wanted to add one to my collection. My great uncle bidded on a locker unit, won, and inside was an original Kit with only her whole outfit and necklace. I’ve also thought about getting rid of her since I need to downsize, but how often do you get such an incredible deal on AG?

OMG! That’s the Disneyland 60th anniversary doll! She was only sold at Disneyland in 2015 and she uses the Snow White face mold!!! Love her

You should double check the Diva Star, you don't want to leave batteries inside even if they are dead. Old corroded batteries can cause a lot of damage.

Gosh, congrats on such a great thrifting time, super happy you found some toys you love! I didn't even know they MADE Baby Peach in plush form, absolutely wild. I don't get to go thrifting very much, the pickings are slim here, but while I was out on some other errands, I decided on a whim to finally pop into Once Upon a Child. I know you and many other collectors enjoy it, and I knew we had one, but I'd never been inside, so this was my chance! Our toy section is pretty small, barely two bins of dolls, but I SCORED! One Disney Store Alice who had everything but her shoes, and two Createable World dolls with full outfits that included shoes, plush one still hair their wig. It was so nice, I'm so pleased. One day we'll have to go back. Then we stopped at the Ollie's and found two Ever After High books I didn't have! Dunno if your stores will carry them, but we had the diary of the evil queen, the one about the Charming siblings, and Fairy's Got Talent.

I just thrifted some Barbaras last week! A 1994 Rapunzel (though unfortunately with clipped hair), a 1998 Golden Waltz (she’s so pretty, her hair is auburn), and a 1990s ballerina doll missing her clothes. Also found a My Scene Shopping Spree Chelsea.

Ahhhh I had that yellow Care Bear in the jumbo version & I know that he is called Birthday Bear!! It was my favorite one since I hadn't seen it much & he barely shows up in the old shows/movies of it. I wish I could say if it's 90s or 80s for sure but I got it when I was younger than a year old (born in 1992) so my best guess is late 80s since I got it from my grandma that had him before I was born. Love these hauls, thank you so much for sharing

Such an incredible haul! Diva Starz is such an amazing line! I personally prefer the fashion doll version of them, but the og electronic ones are cute too! The PowerPuff Girls Talking Bubbles plush at 4:45 is EVERYTHINNNGGG! The small Birthday Bear is vintage! The blank tag is more than likely had ink text that was worn off from washing (I know from experiencing washing ones I found x.x) I love how Wee 3 Friends shares the same body as What's Her Face dolls, except 3 Friends actually has articulated legs lol

Great haul! I have two of the Disneyland anniversary dolls from the time. Iirc when they first came out they were only available at Disneyland (maybe other Disney parks, but definitely park exclusive). But eventually I found one at a Disney outlet store, so they may have made too many and had to sell at their outlets or maybe even on their website. Also they only had that JCPenney body, never articulated. Very odd but she is so gorgeous, you definitely lucked out!

My favorite thrift store used to sell TY Beanie Babies for 65 cents each in the early 2000s. *sigh* Those were the days. In contrast, when I was young, in the 90s, when the Beanie Baby craze was in full-swing, my mom got me my first Beanie Baby (Valentino) for $14.00! I remember the transaction very clearly. No idea how my family afforded that.

Been watching your videos and not sure which you mentioned these dolls in (might have mentioned Tiana in this one? Idk...I watch many of your videos partially and then finish them in weird orders!) but today I found Jane from Tarzan, fully dressed w/ her hat (super happy because she's my Disney doppleganger!) and the singing Tiana (Tiana is also my fave!). Thanks for mentioning what the Wee 3 Friends doll was called!! I got one in a lot a while ago and could *not* find who she is, like her head said Mattel but she didn’t look like any Barbie doll I’d seen 😃Also awesome find with the anniversary Disney doll, she’s so cute! I also got mine thrifting and I got lucky that she had her shirt and little backpack. I think the beanie baby cat is named Pounce. I also love the Tangled tv show theme, it’s so good! Your surprised face when she started singing was great 😆 Oh, and when I find a bootleg doll or toy I usually call them Offbrand lol, it feels less mean than calling them fake

In my mind bootleg and clone dolls are different. A clone is like Steffi love vs barbie where Steffi love is definitely still safe for kids and it is kind of coppying barbie. Bootleg is a company making a super cheap version trying to copy the original exactly, but cutting corners and often ignoring safety rules.

I don’t dislike them at all. I just don’t LOVE them… yet :) I’ve started to really like them recently. I also like to grab at least one even if they’re not my favorite because I do a lot of archival and databasing for dolls for Dollect.
