my opponents usually explains in chat after games as well. "You lucky piece of sh.."; "Nice time-scramble moron". It's all very instructive.

Clearly Eric is not one of the best players in the world. To say the least. but he is the best chest streamer that I found. My game has gotten dramatically better by watching his streams.

@@brandonovich6063 He's not even close to best in the world. Very strong bullet/blitz players can beat GM's and world class players every so often, but that's inconsistent. Eric is no doubt a very strong player, but he's not close to best in the world.

@@mariovanderwal1695 bc he's an IM so he can still play down material and out of his style and beat players who are strong to us. But he still has tendencies and a bit of a style himself, it just isnt necessarily relevant unless he's playing someone who's on his level or higher

actually eric sacs pieces for attacking opportunities, not for positional advantages. u could say eric is an aggressive chess player rather than a positional one.

The reason was because Eric had a full match and video with this GM. This match was just an excerpt. The GM also streams on Twitch.

@@JFchess Oh, now I'm getting what you are talking about. But no, this wasn't spontaneous, they played a match. Eric had like 50 minutes to prepare for the match and he did his preparation on camera. You can find the full video on twitch (if it's not deleted you must be able to find it on Eric's twitch channel).

Thx for sharing. I have not played online chess in about 7 seven years, after a bought of Bell’s palsy. 100% right facial paralysis created severe difficulty seeing the screen during game play. And with so many cheating with computers at the time, it wasn’t worth it to me to try to keep up with the game. In this particular game I was watching u, and saying to myself, “don’t do it dude!” It’s theory. Cool that u talked thru the game with your opponent afterward. I miss they game a lot. But I sometimes enjoy watching. I feel so out of practice. But I was also tempted get back into chess after this game, cuz I actually knew something u didn’t until now. But I don’t know. I’m into music now. And serious chess takes up a lot of time. Regardless, thx. I enjoyed this immensely.

I have been playing like 100 games a day of bullet on li chess forever and I have to hand it to you Eric Rosen for after watching your videos I have vastly improved, I'm sure there's a better way to word that but it also enhances ones love for the game by begging to understand more deeply from your video. You ever see the scene in finding bobby fischer where the chess teacher is showing the kid the crazy chess player? And how you either became very good at the game or got so lost in it you essentially became crazy. This opponent is on the cusp of that lol

I like the game coz it shows a clear example of a BAD BISHOP. The light square Bishop is blocked by his pawns on light squares.

I am very materialistic too but I found c5 right away. Somehow it just seemed like trading queens and getting the bishop out would give you a better pawn structure in an end game and relive a lot of the pressure. Also after seeing some of the alpha 0 games I am terrified of letting a bishop get that bad.

Am I the only one who prefer this kind of stuff more than whole meme gambit stuff? This is actually instructive and would help viewers improve their game compared to “don’t mess with the crab and proceed to win using premoves at the end in a time scramble”. I mean that’s fun but it ain’t chess.
