When Kosmic clipped through the pipe, i was hoping for a new hard mode route! Like, a hack that's as "easy" as SMB1 without clips, but with 1 clip, you'd get into hard mode levels. I'd love seeing that kinda stuff in many games, tbh. "You found a secret? Good luck in hard mode!" I'd love seeing people like Karl Jobst and Summoning Salt come with a video about it, saying "So the speedruns were set, and after a while, someone clipped into 12 pipe/wall, unlocking Hard Mode, which opened up more speedrun categories for the game!".

I have a question about platforms not rendering. Why is it that the collision "pointer" information for sprites isn't stored with the draw call? Any technical wizards here that understand how the memory is laid out and referenced here in the comments? Also, I really like the detailed sprite for Bowser.

I believe it does try to render the platforms, but the NES itself fails due to too many sprites being on the same row. It boils down to how the sprites are hardware-based, but the collision system is software-based.
