try watching wild life documentaries of Lions , you'll realize that their lives in the wild are hell holes , they die of getting hunted by other predators injuries , starvation , dehydration and murders all the time , in the zoos they get to eat , sleep , get treated for any disease and 50% of lion cubs do not die of illnesses or get hunted in the zoo unlike in the wild etc . Might look like they are sad but trust me , all that these animals care about is whether they get food and a safe shelter , they do not care about 'freedom' and 'rights' as long as they get fed and get to reproduce , they do not have the same mentality as us humans as surviving is their only goal , they do not have a concept of 'enjoying' life like we humans do .
