I melted mine, it doesn't have enough bullets 😂 it's no good for what I need it to do. My phoenix does the job so much better and it was only 60 bucks more

I thought all I needed was the F7A Hornet Mk II for combat purposes. I melted my Lightning because I didn't feel like I needed it anymore. That didn't last long. The F8C just has something about it that makes it appealing to me. Soon as the buy back for store credit came back I jumped right back into it.

Man the F7A is so cool, probably my favorite ship actually. It’s a real shame I just missed to window to get the upgrade. Yeah I agree, the Lightning just has a certain badass feel to it

Happy to see you scored a ticket and managed to test fly the F8c! I handed out 7 tickets over the periods they had the promo. This was a lovely ship to fly before master modes, after which they nerfed its speed and agility. You should have tested it back then! I can only hope cig restores some of the speed they took away.

Thats really kind of you for doing that man, its people like you that make the 'verse a better place. Yeah I really loved the test flight and I seriously considered buying one. I can only imagine what a beast this thing would have been, hopefully when it gets updated they take another look at the performance

Unfortunately, whenever master modes came in, they completely nerved its top speed. Right now it has the exact same flight profile as a Vanguard harbinger.

I may be wrong but my understanding is the window will close after the next wipe? At least, I'd imagine people lose their tickets when the inventory gets reset. I know they very recently opened up the F8C for purchase again, maybe it has something to do with that, I'm pretty new to this so I may not be the best person to answer lol

now you should be able to buy one in the RSI store for 300 bucks. you could have set a med beacon by holding down M and you can still enter global chat even though its hard as fuck to read

I’ve seriously considered it, it’s a toss up between that and the hornet mk2 for me. I tried to open global but for some reason it wasn’t pulling up, maybe I was pressing the wrong button

Yeah you’re right, for one on one dogfights against super experienced pilots it’s a little heavy. Thankfully that’s not how combat will be in the future tho, there will rarely be 1v1’s in fighters. Once we have escort missions or events that require defending stations or certain positions, this will be right up there with the best because of its defensive ability. The design also isn’t finalized, we don’t know what the final version will look like
