I'm curious how well balanced the leaders are. Some of the leaders have negative traits like Pacifism or Resplendent, some have only 3 abilities, and then there's Catherine over there with 5 positive traits *and* a beefy unique ability

yea its hard tell how it will play out but some nations just simply seem significantly better then other's lol more traits and no negatives are pretty strong.

Balance by the developers will take some time. Several people have played 30 to 50 hours with the game, comments are consistent: First games were tough, but learned a lot by 3rd game. Then they were able to use said abilities much faster than the A.I. does with other leaders. They all said the like the game a lot. Depth is incredible. But it will take some time to balance gameplay. I am looking forward to playing the game and enjoying the Growth by developers and the Modding Community.

Civ 6 was a joke. It has almost no AI. You could conquer the map with almost no real opposition and the AI is unable to effectively take a city.

I really like the leader/nation bonuses in this game but I think its kinda deceptive with the Prestige system. You are still trying to work tword a victory type that you will get the lion share of your Prestige from. They just off loaded it on to Leaders/nations. I guess will see how it plays out but thats just the way it looks, Still excited to play this

Games like this require a lot of dedication and experience to continuously balance/support it long-term. Hopefully, Civ has some genuine competition, as I'd love for them to get better and not get complacent 🙃

It looks pretty good. Nice to see something challenge Civ. I did enjoy Humankind. The terrain made things a bit annoying. I did enjoy the ability to make your own people, but it is just nice to be able to play as the likes of George Washington or some other historical figure even if it looks like the wrong time period.
