As soon as you mentioned LDAC, I knew that you wasn't talking about the jbl. The Soundboks Go sounds better, has a shoulder strap and a replaceable battery but isn't as fashionable looking as the Sony ULT Field 7

Im not a jbl fanboy but Have you seen the speaker setup on the sony ult field 1 and the jbl flip 6. I saw it and Sony replicated the exact same setup as jbl and Sony did manage to do a better tune on that speaker I'll give them that. Great video btw

For my experience - stock EQ is best. Sometimes i turn bass down a bit. But, all depends on volume, music genre and where I listen.

This is the first time that Sony has a real competitor to the boombox. the xg500 had more functions than the jbl but the sound quality was not great. On the other hand, I have the impression that the Field 7 loses a lot of bass when you increase the volume...

Don't need an eq when my phone has a 10 band Dolby Atmos eq, plus Amazon music premium has a 6 band eq. I bought the Soundcore Boom 2 and don't even need to turn on the "bass up".

LDAC is pointless when listen compress music (from YT, MP3 or internet radio) plus add enviroment noise to equasion... I better stick to 3.5 jack and portable (loseless) player if I wanna "High fidelity" on these devices. Is it worth it? BUT... This is PORTABLE BT speaker, it is not made to sound "pretty", it is made to play "nice to our ears" on battery. P.S. I've got Boombox 3 by the way, but my home hifi can produce more accurate HiFi sound (after tuning). Still I cannot take my HiFi out of livingroom to the green and play music. This why this BT speaker wins.

You lost my respect. You're a biased JBL lover fanboy. To you, Sony will never beat JBL. To me, JBL is extremely overrated. Sony will always be number 1 to me & Tronsmart will be number 2. Tronsmart Bang Max is way better than the JBL Boombox 3, especially for half the price.
