Girl pcos is a monster! Anyone who has pcos knows the struggle of trying to lose weight because it’s all hormonal im proud of you! Edit: can’t reply to everyone but im rooting for all my pcos girlies to get through it! A few things that helped me with pcos that you should look into if you do have pcos! *please talk to your doctor before trying anything!!!!* Ovasitol, mint/raspberry/green tea x2 daily, low-mid carb, cutting out dairy, no fast food, and having spinach, berries, and lots of protein in my daily meals For workouts i reccomend: grow with jo walking, walking on an incline on a treadmill and strength based exercises 5 days MAX! Hopefully this helps anyone 🥹 and remember be kind to your body, pcos is hard to deal with but not impossible!

It’s SO hard!!! And I started out small. I knew I had pcos years before an official diagnosis and I gradually just kept gaining. I gained over 60 pounds, in large part due to pcos but also because of a rare and painful nerve disease I got diagnosed with. The older I get, the harder it is to lose. It took me 6 months to lost 12 pounds. It can be so defeating! 🥺 Sending love to all my fellow PCOS warriors-the fight is hard but it’s even harder when you feel like you’re alone and we are definitely not alone. 💕🥰 💕

I had gastric bypass on May 25th 2020 my highest weight was 445lbs and I'm down 134lbs as of today and yes I can relate 100% with you I was a yo-yo dieter and just could not loose the weight! This surgery was a very hard decision to make but I new I had to do it to save my life because I was having so many health issues from pre diabetes to sleep apnea to just loosing my independence and mobility was super difficult and I'm 38 years old with no kids but trying to become one so I new I had to take that chance and it's not easy at all! It's very difficult even til this day I have hard days where I don't always meet my food or water intake and I'm hard on myself If I don't see the scale move but I don't regret this surgery at all because even if I don't see it in the mirror other people are noticing the change in me and my clothes fit me loser and I honestly believe this saved my life! I'm being more active and getting more energy than I've ever had before and the small victories are amazing I'm not where I want to be but I know I'll get there so with that being said you making this decision for yourself and your health was a big step and try not to be too hard on yourself at first things will get better and easier trust me! Your gonna have hard days but you'll get threw it! You got this ! ❤️🥰🤗

I think everyone is entitled to make their own decisions and becoming a mom in general can put you in such an odd mental state regarding your body because so much changes so if having this surgery brings you that much closer to being more confident in your own skin then so be it and fuck what people say.. everyone is going to judge you no matter what, might as well have them judge you for doing something your happy about doing Speedy recovery and God bless you.

My life has changed completely, I focus on so many other things instead of constantly being preoccupied with my weight and another failed attempt! Stay on track focus on water, protein and fiber! Walk! Walk! Walk! My biggest advice is to get at least 10,000 steps a day, it helps with digestion!! You're going to do amazing!!!

I had gastric sleeve 7/14/21. Best decision I have made for myself. The mental games the all liquid diet plays with you prior to and after surgery is no joke. It almost broke me. The gas pains for me lasted almost a week i felt like I was going to die. I am 14 months out, down 121.8 lbs and I feel great. Definitely struggling with body dysmorphia. I feel like i look the same as i did before surgery even though the scale and clothes sizes tell me otherwise. Congratulations on this next phase of your life! It is truly a lifestyle change and a big one but so so worth it. God bless you and I hope everything keeps going well for you!

I’m a year and 7 months post op. I also had the sleeve done. I was 265lbs and currently 150lbs. I look smaller than what I weigh. I went from a size 18/20 in pants and a XXL in tops to a size 8 in pants and small or medium depending on the style. I also had type 2 diabetes high cholesterol high blood pressure & currently don’t have any of that anymore thank God! I do a mix of KETO, PALEO & Mediterranean eating. It’s definitely a journey I wish I would’ve done 4yrs ago. It’s hard but with self discipline it’s doable. I go to a support group that my nutritionist sets up and that helps a lot. It’s all mental. Next for me is the tummy tuck cause this saggy skin gotta go. Good luck 🍀 on your journey.

@@123nothinmuch Hi 👋 I do workout. I go to Planet Fitness about 4-5 times a week or if I know I won’t be going I workout at home. Wake up call at 5am for home workouts before work. I’m also a receptionist at my job so I make sure to get up out my chair every 30 mins and walk up & down the stairs at a nice pace so almost running. On my lunch break I go out for a 1 mile brisk walk. I have the MyFitnessPal app on my phone and a Water App. As far as the loose skin. I thought I would have more of it but working out, eating healthy with portion control my belly is shrinking nicely. Well so nicely that insurance won’t cover my abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). If you get it done do everything at your own pace. I followed my surgeon’s instructions that they give you. If you like you could find me on Instagram cause I post a lot on there and give tons of ideas and feedback. Insta Name is _mita_84

Gastric bypass/sleeve (sorry, I may be mispelling it) is NOT an "easy way out" or a "cheating way" for losing weight. I actually know few people who have gotten it and I can assure you, it is NOT an easy process. Ive seen what it takes, the process before, during an after. It literally changes the way you eat. Yes, its kind of like your body refuses after a certain amount but its tough. There's a reason why you have to get approved and don't just do it to anyone. You have to be mentally prepared. Its not like it just gets rid of your body fat just like that. It takes time and work. NEVER judge anyone who has, specially without knowing their story (not saying you guys do). Proud of Karina. We know its not an easy process 🎉 you will meet your goal before you know it.

I am in my early 30s and tried a whole bunch of weight loss journeys and they were all successful, but the trauma would creep up one way or another and it would put me in a place where my weight would come back. I would notice and I would teach myself how to cope with what I learned throughout the years with counseling, faith based programs and church, art, music etc. 2013-2016 I went through 3 miscarriages in which one was termed enough to be buried. 2019 I lost one of tho most important people I was known to pretty much be considered lucky to have and who was my first best friend, my grandma and all kinds of drama and open cans of warms had opened, because of her biological adult children. I am the eldest sister of 10 and 6 of which were raised by her I had to be the strong one, so I smiled at day and wept at night. 2020 came and I nearly lost my life to a ruptured cyst in my pelvic area (which had been an issue for 8 yrs at that point). My weight was in the high 300s which I battled with 300s since 2011. After my surgery tin getting all the infected fluids that was killing me out, the doctors suggested I get the surgery to loose weight but I didn't and still don't have the money, nor insurance because of cost. Even at that I wouldn't qualify for government insurance to get the surgery either. One of the three doctors made a comment stating I should get a divorce to be able to qualify for the insurance and another commented that my health was more important and that I can remarry my husband after. I should have taken their advice but was too scared to cheat the system. The hardest hit to my gut, mental, spiritual health and soul was November 2020 when my family, one of my best friends and I all got COVID-19 and my Best friend and I ended up in the hospital but only I got to come back home to my family and she didn't, just destroyed me! I gained nearly 100lbs more, I went into a really dark 🌑 place. I fell into a bad depression and major anxiety. I shut everyone out of my life. I stopped sleeping and sleeping in my room. I stopped showering daily, I stopped driving and attending my church, due to my anxiety. I stopped going outside, I stopped being active period, which all led me to stop working because I couldn't properly function. The only thing I didn't stop was EATING and over eating! I'm in a better place now I am getting help through a charitable medical group and receiving all the help I need. I'm on a journey to a new me. The new me I want to be. I've lost 22lbs so far and not only thanks to God and the medical team I have but to people like you who've I followed for years, you are one of several who have inspired me to not give up especially for my children, husband, parents and siblings and everyone who've I've learned that have always looked up to me. I'm glad you found what will help you be happy and secure. Many blessings 🙏😘 you got this!!! Keep on shining for us!! God works in mysterious ways!! And GOD IS GOOD ALl THE TIME!!!!!!

Congratulationsssss. I love that you were open about this. People seriously need to understand that losing weight is HARD. And it's that much HARDER if you're NATURALLY on the heavier side. It's your body. Your decision. Your health. I used to also have a LOUD opinion on these kind of procedures. But after seeing how much HARDER it can be for heavier people to lose weight... my heart hurts for them. Our bodies can be so unfair. So, chin up momma. Violeta will appreciate you TAKING CARE of your health the most on the long run. Now, go ahead and order a brand new wardrobe. You most definitely have earned it.

I had WLS in January 2020 before the whole Covid pandemic. I had the Loop Duodenal Switch (has a sleeved stomach, but also has an intestinal bypass. NOT gastric bypass). I actually vomited BLOOD in the hospital for the first two days. They didn't tell me that could happen with my surgery so I freaked out and the nurse was all 'oh, hun, that happens sometimes. It's just old blood, you're fine'. It hurt like hell though! Anyway, I was 392 pounds and am currently 188, but I had the weight gain you get when you're in your third year though I still believe it's due to the meds they put me on for my Trigeminal Neuralgia because it's known to cause weight gain (I was 179 before my weight gain and that was my maintenance weight which I had maintained for 10 months. My lowest weight was 175. I'm 5'7, btw so my BMI is and has stayed in the 'overweight' category, but I'm just happy to not be super morbidly obese anymore, tbh.). I went from a 6xl (34-36) in womens tops and a size 32 in womens pants to now being a Medium in women's tops and a size 12-14 in womens pants (depending largely on the brand. I'm mostly a 12, but one of the brands I like I'm a 14). The beginning was the hardest part for me, but you take that time to really get into eating right and it sticks with you once you hit maintenance. Congrats on your surgery and I hope everything goes smoothly for you on your journey!

I highly suggest buying anti nausea patches before bariatric surgery. I works wonders. You can find it anywhere including drug stores and Amazon. It’ll prevent you from dry heaving and throwing up.

So the gas part freaking sucks!!! I literally looked 8 months pregnant when I got out the hospital I also had 18 staples that were so uncomfortable and I finally got those removed today!!! My surgery was 9/12 and I’m 23 pounds down so far… good luck on your journey babe and thank you so much for sharing!!!! Take it easy girl like literally

@@rubyabarca3350 no, I was thinking of it! I’ve been overweight my whole life and tried multiple things to lose weight and it’s just doesn’t seem to be working for me. It’s definitely been very hard and draining on me physically and mentally..I’ve been looking into this for a while now but I’m just very scared so I’m like telling myself maybe if you try harder on diets and exercise then maybe I’ll see a difference but weight is definitely my biggest insecurity😕

Congratulations! I go on Monday morning for gastric bypass surgery. I started my journey in March. Went from 304 lbs to 252 lbs on the pre op diet they placed me on. I almost didn't continue this journey as my mom passed away unexpectedly in May from complications of hiatal hernia surgery. But she was my biggest supporter so I know she wanted me to keep going. @@elizabethirvin9954 I'm actually very healthy and thank God I never experienced any health issues. But when you have PCOS it makes it 10x harder to lose weight like an average person. How about you keep your ignorant comments to yourself instead of ASSuming shit. If you don't know why ppl do certain stuff then obviously you need to worry about yourself

I would love to have a small tummy tuck honestly, but i have a major phobia of surgery. You DESERVE happiness and to feel confident and happy with your body. You deserve this girly, period! So proud of you, not only is this azing for your mental its amazing for your health! Thanks for giving me motivation to not give up on what i want! Don't beat yourself up, about getting the surgery. If it means a better road to a better life, then you made the right choice. Surgery is never an easy decision. It doesn't matter how long you tried to lose weight, we know your journey, and how hard you worked for this. Everyone has their way of how they want to lose weight, because some are just like you and need a better way to lose weight. It isn't cheat or easy way out. Because it is very hard to lose weight, I might even need to think about this because I seem to never lose the weight. I was like you when I had my daughter I lost so much weight then gained it back plus. Think of it has you are an inspiration to people who struggle everyday to lose weight. Thank you for sharing such your Journey!
