I didn't have his level of success in my 'career', but I retired at 60-61 and am now 68 approaching 69. I went from being a paralegal working in mid-town Manhattan, to being a homesteader in Michigan.

@ thank you, yes it is. I’m working to live, no longer living to work. I love gardening, enjoy chatting to my customers, most of them are elderly and alone. I help in them too if I can. It’s great to be able to be flexible with my time too. Glad you’re enjoying your career change too. Even though I loved my previous work it was giving me what I really wanted.

That wall around that land is amazing if you wanted to build a wall like that today the man power and money would be crazy.

This particular walls was built 1779, cant imagine the man power that went in to it. And its an absolute honour for us the bring the walled garden to life again! :)

That walled garden, including views and paths from the restaurant and rooms, is such a responsibility. So many decisions. Would love to know more about how you explored and selected from so many options. Lovely video, direct and personable, subscribed.

There are a lot of seniors who are being let go by their companies these days. Its a shame. They cant fire you because of your age but they can fire you because you cant work as fast as the young ones. !

Utter utter nonsense. This isn’t a career change…it’s someone who’s made plenty of money and is now retired and gardening as a hobby. 95% of gardeners are on absolutely crap pay and will be working until they are 75 plus.

Hey thank you for lovley feedback, if you watch our first video, you will have some understanding of the whole project. Bob is the head gardener of the whole project and in charge of the set up of the gardens! Have a lovely day 😊

Wait a minute. He isn't in a career change that is relevant to us, your audience. He's opening up a small business - restaurant and hotel. Anyone who has enough capital to do that is investing, not changing their career. He has money and plans to multiply it. This video is a fraud.
@FreyjaGardenАй бұрын
Hey Peter, I think you’ve misunderstood. Bob isn’t funding the project he is a member of the team and holds the position as Head Gardener. The opportunity to plan and rebuild a Victorian walled garden is an opportunity that Bob couldn’t refuse. We are nothing other than 100% upfront about the project and its members. You can learn even more about its inception in episode 1.

Reframing your perspective about what 'work' is, can bring a very healthy life change, no matter what amount of capital you start with. I know successful multimillionaires whose family of origin is only a couple decades from immigrating from the third world and operating a street food cart. If you are doing something which ignites your imagination, and you aren't hampered too much by circumstances to pursue it, success is almost by default. It's the way that our world is structured. The important thing, is to avoid wasting your life doing a thing that you despise, because you are afraid to give it up, and try reaching for your dreams. The hours of our existence should never be squandered so.
