If I may suggest, maybe in the future, after you've pucked the pokemon, asks for 6 random abilities and 24 random moves, then assign them as you see fit. Keeps the randomness but adds some strategy. Would be fun to see you work out what to give to who.

Or, alternatively, get all of the move-sets and abilities _before_ they pick any of their starters, and "Bank" them, and then as they pick each starter, they can assign a move-set/ability combo (with each ability being locked to a specific move-set, such as Rayquaza's move-set being locked into also having the Levitate ability going with it) they got to that specific Pokemon. For instance, swapping Aggron & Rayquaza's move-sets & abilities so that both were more viable. This way it's still possible that you would be forced to end up with a bad Pokemon, but at least you would be able to pick _which_ Pokemon wound up being the sacrificial lamb, and you could make sure the rest of the team was actually viable. But maybe as a twist, both players would _know_ what move-sets & abilities were "banked" by their opponent, and they could "steal" one of those move-sets and abilities for themselves at any point and force the opponent to take one of their bad move-set & ability combinations.

You know what would be fun, A set up where you tell two truths and a lie, then your opponent picks your starter, BUT you then take the ability from one of the starters that wasn't picked, and then the move pool from the other starter that wasn't picked. Gives a degree of strategy about what to pick and lie about, but can also result in some really unique team builds.

Next time you should tell chatgpt to give you movesets for the specific Pokemon. If you ever do one of these again, maybe to make it a little more competitive you could allow a reroll on useless abilities. I'd also roll the ability first then either ask for moves for the specific pokémon, or if you want a bit more randomness you could just say like "give me four physical attacks" or "give me two status moves and two special attacks" just so you don't end up with a useless Rayquaza or a Prankster mon with no status moves lol.

Next time maybe you can choose how many status move you want for your pokemon, for example if it's a sort of sweeper you could ask for 3 damaging moves and 1 status move hoping it's dragon dance or screech or whatever to help you sweep and if it's a bulky Mon ask 3 status and one damaging move?
