For those who believe a Christian cannot have a demon: I used to believe this too. It's what I had been taught. That is until I experienced deliverance for myself after a prayer of desperation for my situation and him leading me to it. It was shocking and took a while to process as I was in disbelief. I have been unpacking this now for months. It is true that a Christian cannot be "possessed" by the devil. We were bought with the blood of Christ (a demon may act like it has ownership, that doesn't mean it does) In 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Paul uses a definite article to make the distinction between spirit AND soul (mind/will/emotions) AND body. This distinction is important because we are three parts and the part in which the Holy Spirit dwells is the Spirit. (1 Cor 6:17). The new creation is our Spirit and our minds are in the process of being renewed to the truth (Roman's 12:2) and our bodies will be discarded one day and sin along with them (Roman's 6:6, 8:23). You could imagine your spirit at the core of who you are as the Holy of holies in the temple. The door is locked and there is a notice on the door saying "Holy Spirit's dwelling place - do not enter!". However our mind and body have not been sealed in the same way and are still vulnerable to enemy influence. Demons are spirits without bodies and many can fit in the space of one's body and soul (think of the man in Mark 5). This doesn't mean every Christian has a demon, but it is possible for some of us to have picked up some hitchhikers through a variety of means. I can assure you demons are real, they are able to physically affect the body (inside not just from the outside) and mentally affect the mind and emotions and will of even believers, however once discovered and told to leave, they absolutely HAVE to obey the authority of Christ. They may try to hang on, but in the end they will submit to God because they know the word. They know they have to. Deliverance for me was unlike anything I ever knew was possible. It's hard for me to articulate even how my mind/thoughts have changed and even my walk with God and understanding of scripture. I am overcome by my firsthand experience of Jesus's name being above all other names. I FELT it physically in my body while these spirits were trying to hurt me. And I have been a regenerate believer for decades! If you're still uncertain if a Christian can have a demon, Google "2 Corinthians 12:7 lexicon" and look at the passage word by word. Paul is literally saying (my paraphrase) because of the beyond measure, measure of the revelation of Christ's will he was given in the spirit a few verses prior...on account of this, in order that he might not become arrogant. God gave him a demon (a sharp pain/acute irritation) to stick so deeply in his flesh (body) that it might remain there so he would not exalt himself after what he saw. As we know, physical ailments also affect the mind and vice versa, so it is not altogether unreasonable to believe a Christian may have a demon. We are not all Paul. Sometimes it is just because we are a target of the enemy's schemes to steal kill and destroy and sometimes we get off track and we invite our own trouble. Either way, God has made provision for our freedom from these things. Repentance, renouncing and deliverance.

Of course a "Christian" can have a demon b/c by simply claiming you're a Christian, only means you think you're a Christian and demons love it when you think you are, but also have tendencies and vulnerabilities for them to penetrate. You need to make yourself bulletproof or demonproof if you will.

Praise the Lord! This is very similar to my upbringing. I'm still struggling with emotions and anxiety and nervousness. I believe the Lord has been telling me I need deliverance. Please pray for my husband he is Atheist and it has been hard since Ive come back to the Lord. He doesn't like me going to church at all.

i once went cold turkey on medication and got very scared and all of a sudden i heard clear voices telling me i was going to go nuts AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN and louder and louder...i thought - 'this is the end now, either i get a stroke now or i die!!! cuz it felt so terrible!! surrounded by darkness and demonic entities......i called out to god after a while and immediately the voices disappeared and i was totally relieved and so grateful to the most high. (maybe testimonies like these can convince your husband to start praying!!!!) everyone who rejects our father in heaven will go to hell! it is an absolute horrible imagination to go there, isn't it!?!?!? wish you all the best, health and that your husband 'wakes up'!!!

Hi!! 😃 Hope you're doing well... I want to say that you don't have to be worried if you don't have a deliverance ministry in your city, cause the spirit of God can function without someone being there to deliver you. The Holy Spirit does all the work anyway...it's just takes time you know...in the process of renewing your mind, deliverance comes...From my experience (i live in a country where we don't have such churches) i would say that if you just ask the Lord to deliver you from any unclean spirit, from any curse or any practice that has you bound, He will do it. Not immediately (although it can happen), but i ensure you that if you ask it, you shall receive it, as the bible states. God is so so powerful...if you lean on him, he will make a way!! Be patient, have faith and you will see God's hand in every field of your life. 😉

I landed myself in a mental hospital after my younger sister and her friend whom I was renting at at the time, told an atheist psychiatrist and nurse that I said to her that her eyes turned pitch black and that she was the devil, she was evil, there was evil inside her and that I told her also that she sold my soul to the devil by offering me a slice of melon that she said is soul food. For some strange reason in December 2019, a musician whom I am sure was Satanic because of the music he presented as well as the musical exercises and the hand gestures which according to insiders, refer to the symbol of Satanism, so I am familiar with this. Anyway my mother paid for my ticket for a seat in this music event. My main point is that for some strange reason, this musician was subtly providing me with information about my medical condition at the time which was my stomach whom he said was a result of a curse so he had the entire audience do a ritual breathing exercise to detox all this negative energy. This musician also somehow described well the perfect description of a security officer I knew and had met at the time and he hinted on the idea of twins, which contributed to me falling into the deception of twinflames and soul contracts. Anyway, I am not sure whether or not this was a demon expressing itself through me sending this messages to people around me but all I did and said were used against me. In other words, both my mother and my younger sister and her friend reported this the atheist mental health services over here in the republic of Ireland, whom medicated me with anti-psychotics and gave me a diagnosis of borderline paranoid schizophrenia and Mum went with me to meet up with a psychiatrist in my home town whom signed me up the psychosis prevention intervention program. What added to my diagnosis was claiming that not only was I in danger by my own younger sister and her friend due to my intuition or discernment picking up on evil spirits within them but I had said to all of them that I saw the physical presence of the devil outside the kitchen window where I was renting a room with my younger sister and her friend. Now... I only said the sinners prayer and salvation prayer days before my younger sister not her usual self, offering me a slice of melon and kept looking at her phone and she said it was soul food as I bite into it. I heard negative voices in my head that expressed itself through the mouths of people around me and used people around me and my own family members to monitor me using their phones and take photos of me but I was not believed and this was added to the mental health services category of paranoia, psychosis and delusions. Possibly even schizophrenia. This massively important to note, last year in spring or summer I fully repented to Jesus, accepted Him as my Lord and Savior, surrendered fully and turned away from sinful lifestyle. I thought that in order to be delivered from my diagnosis as a result of me delving into new age and whatever my younger sister did in the kitchen, so I stopped taking medication, read the bible all night and believed and it worked for one night and one day. The Holy, Pure, Spirit of God cannot and WILL NOT live in true Christian!! A true Christian cannot be demon possessed, only oppressed!!! The Holy Spirit possesses a Christian, therefore NO other evil, vile spirit can live in the same vessel. If it was so, heaven will not be heaven. Most of what this young man is saying is accurate and true but him saying he, as a Spirit - filled Christian was at the same time, demon possessed, filled with evil spirits, is wrong.

We cast demons out of Christians regularly. A lot of people don’t understand that if you come to Jesus with demons you need sanctification and deliverance. Jesus makes a way for those who seek that freedom. Lord I pray you reveal truth to this person and discernment in Jesus mighty name, Amen 🙏

It was one encounter & he would tell them don't sin anymore because it had consequences including those he removed demons out of. The verse, "Who the Son sets free is free indeed." Means what then? That he'll partially free you & finish the work later? A true Christian who walks in the holy spirit & keeps the Armour of God like Paul talks about cannot be possessed but every believer can be oppressed just like Job & many people in the Bible were.
