It’s hard to know what to do with panhandlers. Do they really need help? Are they able to help themselves or just want a hand out? Are they using the money for drugs, etc? I find it’s been awfully hard to give. I could be passing up those truly in need. But because of some, they have tainted our good nature. I guess if God tugs on your heart about someone or something, it’s probably best to heed His call. You can only control what you do. You still helped the area property owners, and you know they appreciated it. As do all of us!

I used to work with homeless individuals. You can only do what you can do for that person. What he or she do going foward it's on them. Their in a desperate mode, it may be that they couldn't make it, all you can do accept the no-show and move on. Many of my clients told me one thing and did the other. In any case you tried and you made an offer, that's a blessing he or she had. God bless and good work.
