Dude India has three deserts, the Himalayan Desert, the Kutch desert, and the Rajasthani desert. Additionally India is also loosing a lot of vegetation and becoming more aired due to industrialization and deforestation and the fact the climate change has a profound effect on Indian climate and Indian Rivers due to the glaciers in the north retreating. It’s safe to assume looking at the current data that there will be lands in India that will be completely desertified and unable to grow crops within a few generations. So its not awkward, it’s just dreading the inevitable if we don’t change our practices to be more sustainable.
