Why I like the VizBig is that’s closer to how the manga was released. You get the pages Toriyama actually colored and how he intended the art to look. The shitty part is their weird censorship, changing of the manga effects to English alters the artwork and ugh feels tainted IMO

Highly recommend you just replace those Viz volumes with this. Those fan translations are so much better than what Viz has done. Unless you prefer reading Piccolo's Shakespearean dialogue. I also think it would look nicer on your shelf with all the volumes more uniform.

Amazing collection and amazing idea none the less. I'm more pissed about the poor translation from Viz more than anything and might actually utilize this same method to get the whole set.

This is absolutely epic, can you tell me what the specific print shop was and what settings you put on it? i want to do this myself

It was a Dutch print shop called 'print en bind'. Basicly I uploaded my PDFs containing a volume (note pages should be put in backwards for manga!) Then I selected A5, double sided, no borders, hard covers, and sturdy paper. Settings along those lines. More print shops should be able to achieve this! 😄

@@danhuckle9845 Taken from my settings on the printshop in Dutch: Pro Design 160 grams, gestreken papier, ISO 9706 (bestand tegen veroudering), afdruk is watervast, witheidsklasse 164cie, 158um dik, 96% opaciteit Afwerking: Omslag MultiCard 2S 350 grams, mc papier (machine coated), afdruk is watervast, witheidsklasse 133cie, 345um dik, 100% opaciteit Probably need to translate that! Haha

the guys who did the english color fan-release removed the blank white pages for some reason, and it messes up the page alignment [pages that should be on the right are on the left page now] it looks great regardless, dragon ball really shines in colour

Hmm havent really experienced any problems with that on my printed versions to be honest! All pages that take two pages have been scanned in one big picture though. So those are printed on just one page. But other than that, I dont really see any allignment issues

Because originally, Akira Toriyama had her her colored blue in chapter 1, then it goes Purple for the rest of the series. They stayed faithful to this for the colorization of the series

Toriyama changed it to purple after vol 1, and at the time, it was easier to animate her with blue hair on the anime.

@@joshhamester Yeah I never got it. The English Full color sagas for Saiyan and Freeza saga are just amazing! Much bigger than the Japanese/ French/ Spanish / Italian versions. But at least all those languages did get the full series in color. I just never got why they did not create those in English! Surely it would sell. Anyway. Im glad I did it this way now. Haha 😝
