LOL abroad work. In US no chair for cashiers or anybody working in a counter like people in hotel lobby. pharmacies, no chairs behind the counter even for pharmacist. if its a 12hour shift, you stand for 12 hours except during your lunch or break. Even as a nurse you might stand for 12 hours depending on what is going on during the shift. If its busy you get no breaks, but you will get overtime for no lunch. Those in Nigeria will not understand. you have to experience it to understand it.

Twenty years ago I worked at TNT night shifts, doing the same job you were in,I only lasted one night! Half way the shift I was feeling nostalgic I thought I was going to faint, I was allowed to have a break and that was the end of the shift! Craziest job I ever worked, eventually God blessed me with a Fostering career working from home in the comfort of my home, I am still Fostering nearly 20 years very rewarding career.

One way or the other UK is not bad at all my dear.I live in UK but came from abroad, but I can tell you that life is soo much better here than back home where I came from.I have been to different countries as well not long just holidays even last week I was in US and life their is something else as well.Honestly for me life in UK isn't the best there is but it is soo much better than anywhere else I have ever been.Plus also there so many other jobs that one can do that don't have to be so hard if you have the right connection and obviously with God by your side.Besides that, sorry about your own experience but Iam so sure you would rather stay here than be home interms of finances.😊

Why some Africans are painting that UK is easy, others are painting that it's hard. Though, i have never been there to me life in UK is very hard than that of US, and Canada. I will preferred to stay back in my country and invest in business than traveling to the UK. Since the beginning of this year many bloggers are saying life in UK is very hard, it's becoming very hard for both students and immigrants. God is our Helper and Strength

Some new generation of Nigerians do not want to cope with the stress of teething period of starting a life in western nations. Things are somehow stressful at initial years of relocation but some young generation of Nigerians are not getting it. Young Nigerians relocating abroad should do their homework well before they "japa" to prevent "ignorant frustrstion". If you relocate without having a marketable professional skills, try to cope with the minimum wage jobs and set a goal to overcome the teething period.Even some indigenous people are struggling too to make a living if they don't have marketable skills.Young Nigerians should stop complaining, get to work and learn to adjust and flexible .Western nations are not beds of roses, try and fight your way out of teething period and enjoy your new nation.
